If you try at all, you'll get an A. The book is almost worthless; don't bother buying it for his class. I think I paid like $70 to page through it three times. You must go to lectures, or else you won't pass. He pretty much lays it out for you in class.

had to take this guy because the other class was full. hes an okay guy, his test and hwk policy is really good though, best 3 out of 4. though hes hard to understand sometimes and is really bad at answering questions. my g.f. asked him about how carmen does your score/total to find ur %, and his response was: i dont know what ur talking about.

Pretty boring class. The book is pretty much useless.. I think I may have used it twice. I loved the grading policy: best 3 out of 4 exams and best 3 out of 4 for HW. He has a bit of an accent, so he is sometimes hard to understand... Pretty boring material, but despite that he did a decent job at keeping my attention.

3/4 exams and homework what more could you ask for. The material is very easy compared to 330 and he does a good job of explaining. Would advise anyone who can to take this class with prof. Hall.

Hall is somewhat disinterested in teaching and his exams are challenging but somewhat fair. You drop your lowest exam and homework grade so the options for a good grade are high

He is an okay teacher but he really doesn't teach the subject matter well. He makes you feel like a two year old in class and then puts difficult questions on the test. If you put some work in to it you will be fine.

Prof. Hall is a very good teacher. He explains the subject matter really well to be sure you know what is going to be on the exams. Homeworks however are pretty tough and he really stresses that he does NOT want us working with other people when it is impossible not to.

He's the biggest jerk I've ever known. He doesn't even try to help you with your questions. I had a question for him and he told me that he didn't have a lot of time to talk when it was 5pm and the class was suppose to end at 5:18pm. I HATE HIM.

Really easy class. I hardly did anything and got a B+ Didn't bother taking the final or completing the last homework because he only counts 3/4 exams and homework. Only downer is that the class is super boring and the homeworks took a long time to do.

The material in the class is easy and he does a pretty good job of explaining it. Best 3 of 4 exams. I studied for every exam the day before and I got an A. Shouldn't be too hard for anyone to make at least a B.

Some of the material is hard. Some of it is extremely easy. Prof. Hall does a good job of recognizing what's tougher and spends more time on that stuff. He tries to be funny at times (sometimes he's really not; sometimes he is). Overall an interesting professor for a course that's just a bunch of number crunching.

okay in lecture, homeworks take a lot of time, tests are not too bad if you prepare, very boring material, testing policy is very nice ( cheat sheet, best 3/4) homework policy is ludicrous (can't work together AT ALL) The text packet is somewhat confusing.

He is an okay teacher, nothing great. Kinda goes fast. Really strict about Academic Misconduct. Not hard to get a B if you do all the work. Tests and HW are best 3/4. Not the easiest class, tests are tricky, def. requires studying

The class is not easy, you really have to study the material. He is not a bad lecturer, but the exams are hard as hell if you don't prepare well in advance, use a cheat sheet. Homeworks are best 3 out of 4, each are one problem. Do not work together, he's extremely anal about academic misconduct.

Very ambiguous grading system. Class is easy, but he gives extra credit and then adjusts the number of total points for it(which defeats the purpose of extra credit). Then he said that 137 and above would be an A, I got an A- with 142.TAs grade very hard, they cling to your every word.Unfair grading

The lecture is boring, but if you can stay awake, you'll understand the lesson right away. Nice grading system, best 3 exams out of 4. Exams are well related to the lesson in class.
