I had him for my Honors Representations of the Holocaust class and he was amazing. We would spend every class watching a movie and end with a reading assignment for the week. Five small papers and a final five page paper. I learned so much about the history of the Holocaust and I would highly recommend this professor.

What can you say about Rosengarten that hasn't been mention already. I recommend any of his Holocaust class to take. This is my second class and all you do is write 1 paper a week (1-2 PAGE) and a 3-6 page for the final. His grading is strict since he is an editor so don't BS it. It's an easy A, but you'll get alot out of it then you think.

I thought I knew about the holocaust before entering this class--turns out, I didn't know jack! Rosengarten is an incredible professor (and looks like Einstein, yes) who encourages new thoughts and theories about the representation of the Holocaust through film. He is very keen on well-written essays and is a tough grader, but is otherwise easy.

He is stoked just in the fact that you signed up to learn a/b the Holocaust. He remains "matter-of-fact" even though the subj. is deeply personal to him. Interesting lectures/handouts/films- Even had an Auschwitz survivor visit class. Sweet guy, and yes he looks exactly like Einstien:)Take him!

Provides a wide range of interesting handouts and videos in the class, but doesn't use very graphic material in class. Great speaker, very knowledgable about the Holocaust, and very responsive to his students. Has amazing resemblance to Einstein.

Awesome professor! He is very knowledgeable and shows things from all angles. His classes are worth taking anytime, not matter what you have to do. One of the best professors at USC. He requires lots of writing assignments, but they are all short and don't take much time.

He is a very smart, knowledgeable, and wonderful prof. He will go the extra mile for you. But if you are a poor writer, beware. He is a writer for a profession (he only teaches at USC in the spring) and but he will help you learn to write well.
