This teacher treats every assignment like a full essay, but gives you less than a to do them, and usually is about 3 pages of writing, every week. She will also take off a lot of points if you do not have perfect grammar, or she gives you a zero and asks you to redo the entire assignment while assigning new assignments.

This professor is extremely vague with her assignment instructions, then gives you a low grade saying your work was too vague, but doesnt tell you what she was looking for until after she has graded your assignment.

Horrible professor. I do not understand why she is even in education. She is really rude and doesnt give you the time of day. Papers are supposed to be about forming an opinion and supporting it with facts. However for Backer, if she doesn't agree with your source, she's going to take it out on you. She needs to be replaced

Unreasonable in grading. Gave 0's to several colleagues who submitted reasonably well written papers. A large percentage of the class was asked to resubmit papers for not writing about the prompt. The prompts are not even concisely written. Just look at the rest of this professors reviews and confirm that this is consistent trend.

She doesn't want you to help even you visit her office. If you make more than 5 grammar mistakes, you'll get 0. Unfortunately, you can't avoid her. Ask your native friends to correct your grammar. Good luck!!

She is such a rough grader for no good reason. She is very bossy and wants to display her power by giving you a D on a paper that should of gotten an A. Students have to scramble to redo the paper last minute because she will give you 4 D- for the papers causing you to not to pass. Very very bad, SJSU seriously nees to consider letting her go

I was puzzled by this class. I got A's on every paper, the assignments were clear and easy to understand for the most part. But when it came to the end of the semester I had a D? Where the hell did that come from? Unclear professor, doesn't care enough about student success. Would not take again, but will probably have to.

The dean needs to kick this teacher out. She is been failing too many students and its not fair that our previous english teachers passed us and she doesn't. She doesn't understand this

A engaging lecturer but not vary helpful gave really vague details for the papers and graded super harsh. Also didn't give credit for talking about important details and less you were painfully painfully obvious. would give a minimum word count and not say she really wanted 3 times that amount to get a passing grade. Shouldn' have been hard but...

Assignments are extremely clear. Follow the criteria and I fail to see how you cannot pass this class. I found the professor approachable and fair. Do the work and you'll get the grade you deserve. Not hard.

Her essay prompts are so unclear you have no idea how to write them. Each assignment question will graded by the requirements listed in the grading rubric, not by what the question is asking. She uses outdated software for assignments and the notes given in the software are close to useless. I didn't find her markings on the rough drafts helpful.

I have never taken such a ridiculous online course. The material is dry and outdated. The assignments are unclear and the deadlines are unrealistic. Stupid that she makes you turn in a rough draft of your a month before it is due and the rough draft is worth a lot of points! I hate this class!!!
