Comment:

Professor Farnham is amazing! He's a great teacher, helpful, & kind. His tests/quizzes are pretty straightforward. He even gives a test breakdown the day before the test (with a couple of hints). Quizzes help prep for the test well. He's more than willing to answer/work through homework questions at the beginning of class & during office hours.

He's a great professor but the class is also very difficult. He definitely knows his stuff and explains it clearly, it just can be hard to follow at times because the material is just really difficult.

He has really fast paced lectures which can be hard to follow. He expects hours spent outside of class doing the homework which is unrealistic. The homework was sometimes frustrating because the notes and textbook didnt always help. he drops your lowest test score and the homework is worth a lot of points, so is not impossible to pass.

He's a good professor and he's approachable, so go to office hours. Lectures are fast paced, so stop him and ask questions. Webassign hw was really hard; it helps to do it early and ask questions. I think if you put in the effort it will show. I slaved over this class and ended up with the highest grade. Hard class but Farnham is helpful if you ask

AMAZING at conveying material. Little points in class, if you do poorly it shows. Didn't pass and neither did half+ of the class. Exams were difficult. Homework doesn't even help you, because he doesn't use similar problems. To study I would redo the homework over and over and it still did not help. Frustrating to put that much effort and fail.

One of the hardest professors, he really wants you to fail the curse unless you are a genius in math. He lectures very well but his exams are so hard. Stay away from him.

Expectations were clear, weekly quizzes, there are always chances to ask for help before the assignment is due and right before tests as well. Quizzes are exactly like the homework while tests are a bit more difficult. Loved this professor and would recommend him to everyone.

The class is not mandatory but I definitely suggest that you attend every class and pay attention. There is a quiz every week and homework due every class day. This was my second time taking Calc 2 and he does a great job of explaining the concepts. Grading is pretty easygoing, he gives partial credit for your work not just the correct answer.

Farnham is a good professor. He knows the content and explains it well. He teaches in a no BS way like "I'm going to show up, teach you, and then leave." Do the homework early and ask about it in class. The exams are tough but you NEED to study. So get to it!

Makes hw assignments due after students have a chance to ask him question . Is always willing to helpd & explain problems. 11 quizzes, 4 midterms + final; lowest quiz & midterm dropped. Hw & problems in class notes are very easy, quizzes are slightly harder, & tests are extremely difficult. You must master your trig before taking this course.

He will answer and explain any problems you didn't understand from the home work, quiz/ tests. He makes sure homework assignments are due after students get a chance to ask him questions on those assignments, so there's no excuse to get a bad grade in the homework. 11 quizzes, 4 midterms + final. Drops lowest quiz and midterm. VERY difficult tests.

Although I did not pass his class with the grade I wanted or needed, he is by far one of the best math professors I've had. Actually of the bunch I've had, he's my favorite because he teaches the material in a way we can understand it, he's always more than willing to answer questions and help, and MOST importantly he actually KNOWS his calculus!

I agree that he had extremely difficult tests, but as I found out after he basically just took the hardest questions from the book and put those questions on the test. I was always confused and bored during lecture. Class room environment was dull and uninteresting. Stay away. Tests too hard and I studied at least 20 hours a week for them!!!

Awesome professor, one of the best I've had at CSUF. He knows what he is talking about when he teaches and is more than happy to clarify for students who don't understand. You know exactly what to expect from this class, and as long as you have a desire to learn Farnham will be glad to help you out.

Best professor I have had at CSUF! He will go out of his way to help you understand the material. He knows calculus inside and out and teachers clearly. If only every professor were as good as him!!!
