DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He will take out full points on the exam despite you getting the answer right and showing the work. HE WANTS YOU TO SHOW THE WORK HIS WAY. I would of have higher test grades if it weren't for that.

marked me wrong for not using parenthesis around fractions when next to variables. On first quiz 0%(Only warned us after the test, no retakes). Does not like being asked questions. Will re-explain EXACT same way. I LOVE math, but even I would've steered clear from him if I knew about this site

His tests were actuarial examinations beginning with test 1, the material in the book wasn't related to the test, and the first question of the first test as well as the final were similar, yet changed impossibles to solve in 1.5 hours. The teacher is bad, the book is bad, and the way in which the material was rushed is bad. Homework is useless.

Horrible teacher. Expects you to know everything right away.Is very arrogant and sarcastic. Makes you feel like you don't belong because ou are too stupid to understand instead of doing what he is suppose to and teach us well enough to understand the material. About 80% of students dropped his class. HORRIBLE!

One of the great teacher I have ever had. has a good command over the subject. take 6 exams and picks 5 best out of 6. Even if you don't have good mathematics background he will make you understand everything. highly recommend this teacher.

Comment:

Professor is clear about course material. Starts class asking if students have any questions on homework. Six (6) exams through out the semester including the final. By the third or fourth exam you will know whether or not to drop. Does have the tendency of being sarcastic at times. I would highly recommend to do the homework; it helps out a lot.

Rustagi is a great teacher, his teaching method is crystal clear and he has very steady pace. You have to spend TONS of hours studying for his exams however it is truly rewarding to find out that you are one of the best. Expect high level of drops in the class, my class started out with 45 finished with a dozen. EC HW available I suggest you do it

prof rustagi is pretty good at explaining things. However he is a very strict grader. The key to this class is knowing how to do all the hw problems. while i did get an A, I wouldnt recommend taking this class unless you are mathematically inclined.

More of a presenter than a teacher... He talks at you, not to you. He has horrible lesson planning skills as he'll drag out the first chapters a couple of classes, only to cram three chapters into one class towards the end of the semester. Avoid if you care about your grade.

I have a 4.0 GPA, but I am not good it at math. I can get As if I have a professor who explains well. He does not explain well, is unwilling to help or budge when you go his office. I asked if there was anything i can do to pull up my grade and he said no. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. His tests are hard and you will wind up teaching yourself!!!

This professor gives out very hard tests. It's ridiculous considering the fact that this math is worth only 3 credits and a lot of material is from elementary school, I don't know why he makes it that hard. If you can choose, take someone else. With other professor I could get an A, now I barely got a B (I'm a straight A business junior)

I had Rustegi for Prob. & Stat. He really knows the material. He also does an excellent job at lecturing. What is disheartening is that just when you think you've got it, his test tears you down. Like everyone says here, HIS TESTS ARE HARD!! Having said that, If you want to learn, take him; just be prepared for a tough ride.

His class is F'in hard... 30 People started off in this class and only 7 passed!!! He gives out 6 tests and a final... ALL ARE HARD!! Run away from this guy!
