Comment:

Crams a lot of material in each day. Drifts off topic frequently. Cares about success of his students and is a great mentor to them. Tests are modestly hard but he grades them fairly. His course is interesting because he has great stories to relate it to, which is the only way I (a history hater) made it through the semester. Great guy!

Mr. Wright is by far the best instructor I have ever taken. He is very knowledgable and tells the story how it is, and how it ought to be told. His class is the only one I could sit in all day, and not get bored. He truly is a man with a lot of knowledge, and he's a veteran. I respect him.

Very nice and funny guy, former Congressman of Vermont, modest, tests on mostly covered material (maybe 2 questions from book on test) interesting with his slides (tells them like stories) very little homework. Great teacher. I recommend him.

You can pass his classes without buying the text. His online readings are crucial and very easy to understand. I never strived in history before, studying and paying attention have proven to pay off easily. A's on everything.

It was very interesting and fun class. I learn alot and i don't really like history. First day of class you like have a Test to see how much you know and alot of those questions will be in ur final exam. A quiz after every chapter. Fill in the blanks and multiple choice and 3 tests after every 5 chapters.

MR. WRIGHT IS MY MAN! Seriously, he's my favorite teacher on the planet! He's hysterical, and his history classes are amazing. I've taken every class he's taught, and I wish he offered more! The quizzes and tests do come from the notes, directly.. Look for names, terms, places, events, NO dates are ever asked!

I really didn't like history at all until i got in this class. He's one of the best teachers at lake sumter because when he lectures it's so easy to listen and understand you rarely need to study. He makes history interesting again and its a really fun class. The tests and quizzes are super easy because he doesn't ask you for dates.

I loved Mr. Wright! He was so funny and so kind! He knows a lot about history as well and can tell you a lot of firsthand information you might not find in a text. I thought his class was pretty easy and his quizzes and tests were pretty closely related to the material. If there was a question that few answered correctly, he would give credit.

Professor was very funny, I liked the guy...Test were horrible! Fill in the blank is tough on so many notes per chapter. Never opened the book in class! Not really helpful out of class either! Still liked the teacher just not his way of teaching

A very nice man. HILARIOUS! Not to clear on what to study... notes were ok sometimes and othertimes very unclear. Maybe reading the chapters will help.. but they are very long and tedeous.

One of my favorite teachers on campus. His lectures can get a little boring, but his views on the world (and the Villages) are hilarious. Very predictable class. Pay attention in class and review the notes before a quiz and you'll do fine. Tests can be a little tricky, so spend a while studying for those.

Good Teacher. Must study for quizzes and tests. I don't know how you would not know what he expects of you, his notes are all written on the board. His tests and quizzes come straight from notes and lectures. Just study and you'll make an A or B. It's not hard!

Awesome teacher!! He brings his vast experience into every lecture and makes it interesting. He cares about the students, he is also good about grading. The very best thing Wright does is bring history into modern day life. My FAVORITE TEACHER BY FAR!

Great lecturer, enjoyed the class immensley. Tests are tough.He sometimes threw things in there that hadn't been covered, but if you brought it to his attention, he was good about striking the question and giving you the points. Not an easy A class.

Mr Wright is a very good teacher. You have to study and read to make an A in his class and it's well worth it. He brings his experiences to the lectures, keeping them fresh and insightful. I wish he could teach more history and politics at lscc.
