Welshon is a brilliant professor. This class was fun if you interacted and enjoy philosophy. The papers were easy as long as you did the reading! Very entertaining class and I would suggest it if you love arguing and learning new things.

It can't be overstated: This man is brilliant. He makes difficult topics accessible. He explains why topics will be useful later on in life. He's concise and humble. To quote, "Logic s/b used to clarify something, not to eviscerate someone." 7 years later and I still use his teachings.

This man really knows his field. He wrote the book we used for class and provided it to us for free digitally, 3 years later I still have it. Wonderful read! It's tough material and hard work but very, very fair. Put in the time, and you'll learn a lot and get a good grade. It's no wonder his upper division classes fill up so fast.

Brilliant. Best profrssor in the department but doesn't teach that much. Look out for him and take his upper division classes when they are offered. Will make you smarter than you ever thought you could be. Also, just a cool dude.

Brilliant analytical philosopher whose lectures are phenomenal. Also a great teacher who always challenges and maintains the highest standards while helping students find their way through the material. Have attended half a dozen classes of his, and he never is less than stellar.

I took a class with Prof Welshon when he was an adjunct at Brown back in 1997, and I still remember him. That's how good he is. I was just reading an article on philosophy and Welshon popped into my head. I will always think of him as the best philosophy prof I ever had. Brilliant, but personable and easy to understand

I only did my first year at UCCS & went on to graduate from another school & I pursuing my masters at Stanford. I have yet to have a professor as quality & who upholds what I think are the ideal traits of a professor. If you got to UCCS you are selling your self short not to take a class with professor welshon.

He seemed really monotone at first but once you get used to it, he is a great teacher. He really knows his stuff and will help you on anything that you need help on. He's easy to get along with and wants students to understand what he's teaching...and he'll help anyone until they understand the material.
