Comment:
Professor Kevra is very sweet but can come off a little standoffish at times. She is very fair in her grading and offers great comments in the first and second papers which can be resubmitted for a higher grade. Tests are very easy if you just review the notes and readings. Lectures can seem a bit trivial at times.

She is pretty bad and rude. Also very hard with grading papers. Expects you to know everything but is not at all helpful outside of class.

(French 1111 - First Year Writing Seminar) Professor Kevra is a sweet, caring teacher who is very passionate about French culture. This course is not very difficult if you are willing to show up and pay attention, but there is also a lot to learn. Readings outside of class can be somewhat heavy, but the homework, tests and papers are not difficult.

Professor Kevra genuinely cared about improving each student's writing skills. At times, one could be swamped with assignments, but generally it was a reasonable workload. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

Dr. Kevra is really sweet and clearly cares about dance and its social implications/history. The dance workshops we did were a fun break from a day full of lectures. She really wants you to become a better writer, so the essays are not blow off assignments, sadly.

Kevra is so sweet! You do have to work really hard to get an A (which is a 95 or above). Try your best to have perfect grammar, because she marks off a lot if you don't. This was probably the most work-intensive french class I've ever taken, but I learned a ton, and the texts we read were very interesting. Study with your classmates for the tests.

Although most students find her difficult, she seems to be a pretty easy grader if you're good with grammar. I didn't do most of the reading, talked in class, crammed for tests and was fine. She's very interested in her subject matter and she's a super nice woman. Moved assignments when the class asked and occasionally brought food!

Kevra is a pretty decent professor. Her class is not east, and the small class size makes attendance mandatory. You have to write about 4 papers and there are several grammar tests, but if you legitimately study and try on the papers, it's not unreasonable to get an A or a B.

She's a decent professor. However, her grading on papers seemed inconsistent at best. Tests were ridiculously easy, just review the readings briefly, and you'll be fine. First half of the semester was really interesting, but the second half was dry, to say the least. The papers are the only thing you'll have to worry about in this class.

Professor Kevra is such an understanding teacher. She really helped so much with my writing and understanding grammar. She is a fair grader for the 4 papers you have to write, however she has high expectations which will make you a better writer. The tests are pretty straight forward but make sure to study the "exceptions" from the textbook.

I am not sure how she is as a French professor, but as a American Studies Professor with a class concentrated around dance, she was amazing! She was really helpful with improving your paper. And for a writing class, we only had 4 papers-1 2 pg., 2 5 pg., and 1 10 pg. !!! I would def. take her!!! And we actually go square dancing, do African dancing

Great lectures, readings, and hands-on Friday lessons. A difficult essay grader though. I worked for hours on one essay, changing and expanding upon the rough draft after a meeting with her, but I went from a B+ to an A- because it didn't have that "A spark." She was very helpful in trying to tell me how I could improve. Great teacher.

She was a very interesting writing professor. She uses many real world examples (movies, youtube, Quebecois dinner with the class), to rouse the interest of French Canadian culture. She is an amazing teacher and very helpful with writing and helps to understand the importance or rewriting.
