All in all, he lectures. The lectures are interesting sometimes. However, he tends to get off subject. Also, the course felt so disorganized. Although a new course, I would've liked to have known how my grade was calculated. His instructions aren't really clear nor his expectations.

YOU'LL LOVE THIS COURSE. I WASN'T THRILLED ABOUT TAKING A SHAKESPEARE COURSE, BUT DR. HAYNES MADE IT NOT ONLY INTERRESTING, BUT WORTH IT. I WOULD DEF TAKE ANOTHER COURSE WITH HIM!

This professor is the real thing. He loves teaching and his enthusiasm for English is infectious, to say the least. Extremely smart with a delightful sense of humor. Take his class if you possibly can!

Dr. Haynes was the first teacher I took a college class with. He is excellent the best teacher I could have asked for extremely helpful and great personality. Take with Dr. Haynes you won't regret it.

Dr. Haynes did not adequately teach ENGL 1301 as it is required in the First Year Writing Program. As freshmen, we are brought into this program to develop our writing skills and broaden our horizons. Dr. Hayne's assignments did not follow the writing programs required assignments, and left us uneasy about our writing skills.

I've taken many classes with him. He's very smart and definetly knows his Chaucer and Shakespeare. AWESOME. Recommended.

I have never met anyone who knew so much about Chaucer! He is a great teacher, funny and interesting. He is quriky, thats why I enjoyed him. The class requires LOTS if reading, but its fun. He is also very helpful, keeps his office door open, and is always willing to accept extra credit. He rocked!

Smart! The work is very appropriate, and very clear what's due. Loves extra credit! But his personality is boring and voice is monotonic. VERY easy to fall asleep. Rare student participation. If you don't care about being bored, take him!
