Super intelligent professor- Sometimes so much that he goes over your head in lectures, sometimes I had no idea what he was talking about - Paper prompts are difficult but I learned to analyze much better - He's a little intimidating sometimes but nice

Comment:
Intelligent, makes the class fun! Tries hardest to develop students' ability to synthesize and articulate(in writing)an original thought. Truly cares, gives incredibly good lectures, which motivates to attend and prepare. Very harsh critic, but by the end of the course you will probably leave his class feeling that you've actually...well, evolved.

Knowns his studd, but thinks that all students are just as interested as he is. He doesn't clearly go over what will be on the test, so study everything. The TA's are the only problem withn this course, they grade way too hard for a 100 level class.

Dr. Jensen does know his material, but he assumes everyone in there is majoring in Art History, but really, it's just to fulfill a humanities requirement. The TA's are horrible and grade you on what they believe art says. If it wasn't for the TA's, I would probably have an A in the class. Study the paintings and hopefully you'll do good:takes time.

This professor is great. While its true his opinion is the only opinion haha one just has to accept that he is the one with the doctorate, so he is probably right anyway. No homework, just interesting papers and the lectures are awesome. You HAVE to go to the lectures if you want an A.

Love this guy! Hard class but if you really study hard before an exam, you can get a B or maybe an A. He is great at what he does, and you will learn so much.

Lectures are like seeing an educational omnimax flick- they're fun to go see. Makes art history approachable to anyone. Very straightforward: go to class, listen, and you will get As. Hot TAs, and makes a very big class seem like a 10 person seminar. No homework/ waste of time in this class. 4 fun papers (no sources/opinionated) and fair tests

awesome teacher, clear lectures structured in such a way that they're interesting. i took contemporary with him too and the materials a bit more complex but its more conceptual. fair grader who gives you 5 essays before the test and chooses 2 for the test. don't do the readings, tests are based entirely on his lectures. grades harder on papers.

I've taken 2 classes with Prof. Jensen and have signed up for a third. I think he's a great, engaging lecturer who really sparks an interest in his students. He's very knowledgeable on all of the subjects he teaches and doesn't bog you down with useless work. If you have a chance to take A-H 350 (Contemporary Art) with him, I would HIGHLY suggest i

I only went to class on the days papers were due and got all A's in the 3 classes I took of his. His lectures are interesting if you like the subject- otherwise he will bore you with his "input." Are better profs in dept that know how to teach effectively - but he's good for the upper level classes.

Arrogant & condescending. Believes his opinion to be the ultimate. Not difficult, but he does provoke a lot of pseudo-intellectual schlock from the few students who dare challenge his arguments.

awful. tricks kids into dropping class by assigning a bunch of work the first three weeks so the slackers will quit. not any better once he starts actually teaching. pompous.
