Really nice guy who is genuinely enthusiastic about the course (he is a Rabbi after all). He is somewhat of a stickler about following directions and the outlines for assignments that he provides and that will affect your grade. Participate in discussion and attend class and you'll do fine.

Pretty nice guy. The work really isn't too bad. Honestly, the only hard part of the class was the research paper, which wasn't too hard, however he used a very strict grading procedure. Midterm and final are certainly pretty easy.

he explains a lot and his tests are medium difficulty...he is very strict to a point of being mean. Only 2 tests and a paper. His grading on the paper is very rough and considering its the only grade besides the mid term and final, it can make you feel uneasy if you don't do well considering you have 5 weeks till the next test

Extremely interesting class. 2-3 tests, go to a synagogue service and write an essay on the final exam about your experience, plus a research paper having something to do with Judaism- you pick the topic and he approves it. Great sense of humor, very funny, great personality. Great lecturer. I think you use one or two textbooks. Highly recommend

Great teacher (as the name rabbi implies) he is helpful, interesting, fun, informative, and just about any other positive adjective that you can think of. he also lets the class watch fidler on the roof and gives out traditional jewish food (YUM).

Learn Judaism from a real Rabbi. This was the most enjoyable of the religious studies classes I was required to take. I would have taken it anyway. I learned so much, but be prepared to work.
