Comment:

Agree with everyone on the workload. Looking back, I did learn a lot from her and the work I made for her was some of my best to date so I can't hold her strictness too much against her. Super passionate about design. Knows a lot of resources to help you.

Comment:

Rose is tough. She's a great lecturer with a lot of love for design but don't expect to pass without being neck-deep in homework. It piles on fast. Sometimes 4 or 5 projects simultaneously. Lots of revisions too. If you want a lot of feedback, she'll give it to you but it's not an easy A. I honestly have mixed feelings on her.

She's makes you work for your grade. Don't be fooled, she's a great person but if you take her class as a joke be ready for that well deserved D or F. She took the whole class out after our final class as a show of appreciation to our willingness to learn and be pushed,she even paid for 12 students, which shows you how kind hearted she is.

There's a lot of work but, it won't kill you. However, things can get added last-minute so be watchful. Be prepared to hear a lot of "move this over more" or "change the color." Quizzes are fun and you get prizes instead of grades. Self-motivation is key because she can't teach you everything (she says so, herself) so, keep that in mind.

She's cool, but then some of her classes are very loaded because she's always adding stuff and changing the projects that she has you working on, which can be a little overwhelming. But outside of class she's a great woman with a great heart, even though she's always busy. She has gained us designers big opportunities and benefits in Kean U.

Rose is the Best! She is the Dumbledore of Kean design. If you want to learn she can teach you. If you don't want to learn she can inspire you, then teach your face off. I seen it! Face, right off! additionally she sometimes brings in cupcakes her mom made. anyone who would say a bad word about her should be stripped of their speaking privileges.

Awesome! I can't Imagine anyone better teaching this course. She gives you great feedback on your work and really helps you do your best. She is somewhat hard to get a hold of but that's just because she's getting pulled from all different directions. She's a truly awesome teacher and I am lucky to have had her as a professor!

Comment:

Does knows her stuff and is Involved in the school a lot but is not there when you need her. Does not clarify projects and changes her mind. Be prepared to do long lengthly projects of tedious work, although it is a useful class, and she is a knowledgable teacher, definitely could be taught differently.

Comment:

Professor Gonnella teaches all, but does not waste time on students who do not take design seriously. Ask for help & you will receive. She does not push her style onto you & she promotes invidual exploration. Her studio skills class will open doors to budding designers. Take advantage of the library. Kean is lucky to have her.
