Funny and interesting guy. He lets the boo teach the class so if you miss a day you can just read from the book. He gives points for attendance. If this is your first Spanish class it will be difficult because he expects you to know some things already. I took four years of Spanish in high school and this class was basically a review.

Comment:

Awesome teacher and great guy! He was always available for help before and after class, would go over the homework the day before it was due, say what was on the test the day before, and explain any questions you had on the test. If you need to take spanish, definitely take it from him!

Roca was such a great teacher!!! He was funny and was very clear, if you didn't understand something, he'll go over it and overall, he was AWESOME!! (sometimes told you the answers to the tests accidentally) Great teacher :). and make sure you get the book and online workbook.

I absolutely adore senor Roca! His class is pretty past paced and I don't advise you to take this class if you have never had Spanish before. If you've had Spanish, take it! The class is so fun and time goes by so fast! Senor Roca is very helpful and funny! Loved the class and will take 102 with him!!

I took this class over the summer in five weeks. While that is a massive amount of course material to cover in such a short time, Rudy was a great teacher. Very helpful, laid back, and warm hearted. He's has a love for teaching that's apparent in his attitude towards his students. I left his class wanting to continue moer spanish classes.

Whoa, I walked in interested and left totally confused. I've never taken spanish before and this is beginners spanish. He went thru it so fast, I couldn't understand it. I wouldn't take a class by him again.

Don't worry if you don't know Spanish when you arrive - you will know it when you leave! Excellent, engaging teacher, reasonably demanding, and has great stories about life in Cuba before the revolution. Ask him about his swimming medals.

Mr. Roca is a great professor. He helped me learn but I also had fun. In my other classes I would stare at the clock and the 2 or 3 hours would drag but not in his class. I would never look at the clock and all of the sudden the class was over. He's not difficult and he actually teaches so you don't have to study much if you do his activities.

Spanish isn't easy, but he really drills it into you (in a positive way) so you end up learning a lot. He's also extremely understanding and helpful. Great teacher!
