Scott A. is an outstanding professor. This class was adapted by his teachings to share his own experiences, with required work he was flexible, understanding some people have stuff going on so as long as we get our assignments done by such-and-such date we would be fine. Seemed to be very knowledgeable!

Easy A. Scott has us write a "Daily Essay" that has to be about a page in a Blue Book, but as long as you pay attention for 15 minutes in class it will be easy. Very easy class. Scott's the man.

Class can be a bit boring but you can tell that hes really passionate about geography. Get ready to write, your grade is primarily made up of essays. He never really gives full credit on the daily essays, but as long as you pay the slightest bit of attention to the lecture youre guaranteed a decent grade. Easy A but Id recommend going to class

Scott is a great guy and his class is so easy. We watch lots of videos and have to write mini essays after each class that basically make up your entire grade besides 3 longer essays at the end of the semester. It would be hard to fail this class.

Hes a sweet and nice man. I took him for my GIS The class is boring, but interesting once you start grasping the material. It's very easy to pass, yet be aware you cannot mess up on the (open book) quizzes given. That's pretty much what your graded off of along with participation & a project regarding maps at the end. Hes more than willing to help.

one of my favorite professors yet. so easy to talk to, loves going on tantrums and talking about other things. one easy quiz every few weeks and they're all open notes. definitely a teacher to recommend if you're looking for a laid back class and atmosphere that'll help get you thru this course. however, the class is somewhat boring but interesting

I took this online this winter as a GEN ED. Totally dreaded it but the work is all based of off movies you watch and write a paragraph about each. It is time consuming each day but it is so easy. He is the easiest and fastest grader I've ever had. There is a final paper that seems difficult based on his instruction just know it isn't hard at all

This class is nearly useless because Scott doesn't teach you much; you are expected to teach yourself with online tutorials or to figure it out for yourself. I had to ask my classmates for help very often because Scott doesn't like to repeat himself. Obviously, I barely learned anything about using GIS.

He is a nice man but overall a pretty bad professor. The class was easy gradewise but he wasnt very helpful. Learning the ARCGIS software was confusing and he didnt really teach. I had to teach myself almost everything. And the software was very intimidating. I needed more help and so did my classmates

this class can be a little boring since it is mostly lecture. However, he plays movies in between which switch it up a bit. This is a great teacher and I would suggest taking the class with him because he is so pasionate about this subject and he makes you care also. He is a great guy and willing to help his students. AWESOME teacher!

Professor Anderson was probably the best professor I have had while I attended Cortland. His class was relatively easy compared to most classes that I have had. He is always willing to help and answer questions. His lessons are quite interesting too with videos that are shown . They really help you learn about different cultures.

Very unstructured class... you never know what you're going to do until you get there. Still, very easy, grades based on a midterm, final (both one essay and open book) and 3 essays of your choice thru the semester. All out of 20 points each.. mandatory mini-essays at the end of each class are pretty annoying, and you never get out early...

He's a really nice guy. Will empathize w. your problems. Shows a lot of videos and plays music from other cultures a lot. You have to go to class bc he gives a 20-second question you have to write about in a blue-book at the end of each class and turn in. Kind of boring, but seemingly easy enough. Take him!
