Comment:

Professor Chiesa is a really good teacher. His notes and examples are clear and the HW isn't too challenging. He holds HW help sessions the day before the HW is due and review sessions the day before a midterm. He also gives practice midterms which really help. No tricky questions either!

Comment:

Chiesa is the best civil engineering professor in my opinion! He speaks loudly and clearly and stops for questions during lectures. The handouts he provides are super helpful! He holds "review sessions" before each hw is due and before each test, so take advantage of these! He is also helpful in office hours and slowly goes through the problem.

Hands down the best teacher in the Civil Engineering department. He is very organized, and the notes he passes out and writes down are all relevant to what you will be tested on. His tests are similar to homework problems and he never tries to throw any curveballs at you. Also very approachable and helpful during office hours. Take his classes!
