Professor Cahn is awesome.I went into this class not really having an interest in it but she made it awesome to learn about.I loved going to class. You have nightly readings but theyre not hard and there were two essays and a take home final which werent to bad. I recommend Professor Cahn to anyone. If you enjoy class it will be easy.

Professor Cahn belongs at a liberal arts school, but she's a refreshing addition to the university. She's interested in individuals as well as her own research and teaching. Always accessible through emails and at her office, her expectations and grading were succinctly clear. Definitely choose her classes.

Definitely take this class if you're interested in women's history. The class was mostly discussion and lecture based, so there was a lot of assigned reading, but it was worth reading to contribute to the discussions. 3 straight-forward essays with assigned topics and one group project for grades with one extra credit assignment.

Dr. Cahn is an excellent professor. She does have a degree in history and is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter. The fact that she discusses women in her lectures is important since they make up fifty percent of the population and have been routinely left out of historical texts. Dr. Cahn is one of the best professors I've had.

This is a U.S. history course, not a womens studies course. I do not need to know the woman's lib point of view on every event that took place in us history. She routinely gets facts wrong, and is vastly unprepared. Why is someone who doesn't even have a degree in history teaching this course? Overall, this is an easy class with a bad professor!

You could skip the lectures, go to your recetations (they're mandatory), and as long as you cite everything in your essay, you'll get a great grade. Constantly fell asleep in her class. BOOOOORING. Not a terrible teacher, but I've had far better.

Very knowledgeable about U.S. history. The texts were interesting to read; the material we were taught covered our country's past from all sides of the spectrum. A little dry only because it's history we all know more or less, but it's taught very nicely.
