Comment:

This class requires to you to read chapters from small readings and complete video and lab assignments. All the exams taken were in the testing center with notes. He offers a lot of extra credit to his students. At the end there is a lab practical so it is important to attend labs. He cancelled class a couple times and he is hilarious!

Comment:

Hes a great person whos always trying to keep the classroom alive, but sometimes the lectures are hard to understand. Taking this class, you have to be ready to read the chapters and set time aside to study for tests.

Comment:

I took Linscott for Genetics online. There are no due dates for anything except for the end of the semester. Every question for every quiz and exam can be found on quizlet, and I think he just gives you full credit for all assignments as long as you turn them in. Anytime I had a question about anything he was very prompt at responding. Very easy.

Comment:

Linscott is very vague with directions and due dates. Online quizz answers can be found on Google so the tests are the only moderately hard thing. Don't expect to get homework back soon either. He's very knowledgeable so if you do have questions, they will probably be answered. You could probably jump an entire letter grade from extra credit alone

He is a great professor! Gives lots of extra help when you need it. Many opportunities for extra credit. If you show you truly are trying you will get a good grade in this class, just study for the tests.

You need to study everything in your notes, follow his study guide the first day you get it, and participate in class. If you don't, then you're screwed. Amazing teacher and cares a lot about his students passing. He'll do anything he can, but it's up to you to do your part majority of the time. He can get off topic at times, but he's worth it.

Great professor! Took him for a&p 1&2 and microbiology. Will need to attend class and read book to understand criteria. If you are unclear, ask him! He is very helpful. Take advantage of office hours and get help when needed. A lot of dense information so don't expect to coast through these classes without putting in the work.

Great teacher! Ended up with an A. As long as you attend class and read what you are supposed to, you will be just fine. At first I was nervous but the tests ended up not being that bad and all of the the other grades make up for everything anyways. I would recommend taking him.

Great teacher. Gives hard exams, but is very knowledgeable on the subject and is willing to help in anyway possible. Do all of the extra credit and there should be no reason not to get a good grade!

Offers a lot of extra work for easy points. Can get off subject at times but overall great teacher. Willing to help you succeed. Tests are tough, but with the extra points it's still easy to get a good grade.

This professor is absent minded. He makes a lot of mistakes. He forgets things. He spends too much time on information that is not on the test. He always says "This should be review to all of you." He is not helpful. His tests are ridiculous. His study guides are useless.AVOID THIS PROFESSOR

I felt as if he didn't know how to teach an online class. He gave a lot of assignments that didn't even make since and he didn't get back to you right away.i had to drop the class because it took so long for responses and I wasn't getting the assignments finished in time.

One of the best teachers BHC has! Hard class and a lot of material but if you put in the time and effort an A is obtainable. He is always available, willing to explain , and very bright. Be prepared to arrive early for extra lecture/question/test taking. Wish he was teaching 146 in the spring!

Overall he is a great knowledgable guy but the class is very difficuilt. extra credit is key to getting an A and you will be reading about 90% of the time because he just shoots information at you through powerpoints. I would recomend this class if you are a hard worker and if all other classes are not availible.

I had him for microbiology, hard class. He was extremely nice. The powerpoints can get boring, but he'd let us watch videos on the plague some days instead of lecture. Awesome with extra credit!!! went from a C to and A from doing an extra credit project he offered. Great teacher!!

Good teacher for a hard class. He makes it possible to pass his class if you try with all the extra points he gives. Willing to help. Interesting lectures, does a great job relating lectures to everyday life. Would recommend his classes

He was easy going and offered help. Although, he should be more helpful in lab by doing more than giving instructions. In lectures, he seems to get side tracked easily w/related trivial facts. It is nice to have a teacher that posts jokes in their lectures though. His class was hard because histests covered more material in the txtbk than his lectr

I've really enjoyed his class. He is challenging but frankly, I've learned sooo much from him. I'd rather work for my grade and actually learn, than not work for my grade and not learn anything. I definitely recommend his class because you'll definitely learn but it is not easy by any means

He seems like a nice guy but is not a good teacher. He doesnt teach, he seems to have a hard time putting his thoughts into words. Its more like he is reviewing stuff as if you should already know it. On the first test only 8 people out of probly 40 got above a D. Avoid this teacher if possible!!
