Online Class. It seems that Prof. McLin has a wealth of historical knowledge and a great passion for the classics, but very little of that comes through online. I think his class would be much more interesting in person. Grades were chronically behind, but his deadlines were flexible so that was nice.

OMGosh....took this online and could not get the prof to respond for the life of me to my questions through e-mail, his preferred method of contact. Got a 4.0 but make sure to do all the work and it will be easy enough. Very boring online, if this subject isn't your major. I recommend taking it in classroom....maybe the teacher would respond better

Lots of folders to open; more interesting than I expected; easy to get an A if you just put the time in and do the work; even though I never met the professor, he seemed very nice and helpful and responded to emails quickly; gave prompt feedback. Would recommend him.

Very easy course. The book is barely needed. I took this class online. There is a lot of home work to do, but if you log in every week and attempt all the primary assignments and a lot of the secondary assignments there is no reason not to 4.0 the class. Very Good study guide for the final.

I hate history but this is an easy class. You can google all the answers, so you don't really need the book. He gives you way beyond the points you need to 4.0. You need to do the work, but it's easy work and doesn't take long to do, just a lot of it.

Took his online class. There are so many folders and things you need to click on. It gets confusing! I don't recommend him if you don't like history and don't have motivation to do homework.

Great online class for those who work full time. Not too many due dates, as long as they are turned in by the end of the semester. The final exam is based on the exams through the sememster so he gives the student every opportunity to pass.

Horrible for Online classes. Poor due dates, did not use School Site correctly for posting things. Does not answer Emails often. Didn't bother buying the book because I have taken a class similar. He doesn't have a clear outline for the course. Not good for Online. Would be better in Person.

Took this class online. Easy. I hardly used my book bc I googled all the test answers. Book would be helpful for actually learning the material. Points for signing in each week, watching youtube videos he posts, quizzes, etc. No midterm. Only difficult thing is a 3-4 page paper you have to write. Great Prof, easy to understand, will be taking again

I really enjoyed the way he structured the class. As long as you did the assignments and got them in...you would do well in the class. Excellent online teacher, I would take another class with him if I could!

I took this class online and I thought that the instructor was good. The notes he gives you are pretty clear and helpful. The only negative thing I have to say about him is that he is slow about returning your e-mails and grading assignments. Sometimes the directions were hard to follow as well. I recommend him except for the communication w/ him.

I had his World Civ II class online & he is terrible! Didnt give us a syllabus or clear direction on ANYTHING. I also didn't learn a damn thing but 4.0'd the class. YIKES!

Easy class if you do all the work, but the lectures were a step down from excruciating because of the way he speaks. You get points for going to class, so you kind of have to go. As an online class I think it would have been fine, but I took it as a hybrid and even seeing him once a week was really just not fun.

Lectures weren't too boring. Easy grader, easy class. Needed a total of 1200 points for a 2.0 and 1440 points for a 4.0. He gave us over 2000 points of assignments to work on. I didnt own or read a page in the given book and scored a 4.0(took all the quizes and wrote 6 essays). (I listened to the lectures)
