Comment:
Wharton is a terrible professor who puts no effort into actually teaching the material or helping his students understand. He comes in with a grading scale based on making a 50% pass because he doesnt care to teach. The definition of a professor that no one enjoys. DO NO TAKE.

Professor Wharton is an amazing guy, but he doesn't explain the material well. POM was the hardest class I've ever taken at OU. I suggest buying the book and teaching yourself. He does curve every grade. A 65% in the class is a 3.0. The class is test heavy and he allows 6+ notes pages for exams.

You know the class is difficult when the professor allows you 6 pages of cheat sheet notes on exams. I feel this classes wouldnt have been this bad if I had a different professor. Sometimes you have to experience a stroke, heart attack and hernia to get through & actually understand a problem with him. Avoid him if you can!!! Depend on curve.

Uh, Wharton is a good dude at heart, you can see it daily. However, he knows his class is hard because there is a HARD curve for the class. There best thing about the class is you get tons of cheat sheets for the test. If you think you wont need something, put it on there anyway, you're going to need it.

He is very confusing and doesn't seem to have the important things you need on his slides and refuses to write out math that he is doing. Having 3 pages of notes doesn't matter when his quizzes consist of acronyms and material that hasn't been covered. There's a reason he has to curve the entire class, people aren't learning. Avoid if you can.

You'll be teaching yourself most of the time. He doesn't explain things well in class. Exams are multiple choice. Quizzes are short answers. If you don't mind teaching yourself, he's average at best.

This professor isn't great. He isn't very clear in class and he makes a lot of mistakes in lecture, this is a math class so those mistakes hindered the student's learning of the material. Take him if you are good at teaching yourself material.

He lets you use notes on quizzes and exams but don't let that fool you because they don't help. The class wouldn't be that bad if he actually knew what he was talking about. You pretty much have to learn the material on your own by reading the book because his lectures literally do nothing but confuse you. He gets confused and messes up a lot.

Let me just tell you, TJ is not a good teacher. I don't doubt that he knows his material, but everything that comes out of his mouth is so confusing. While explaining something he will say things like "Well obviously..." when it's clearly not obvious to us. You do get to use 4 sheets of notes during quizzes/tests which is helpful.

Not the best at explaining material being covered. Very fair grading scale based off of class averages rather than a strict numeric scale- because the averages are always low, receiving a 65% average is equivalent to a 3.0. Super funny prof, would take his classes again.

4 Quizzes, 3 Exams (Final not cumulative), 5 HW assignments. 4 pages of notes back and front allowed on both Quizzes and Exams. The teacher cannot teach, but if your good with stats and your fine reading the book , you should be fine

Wharton is funny and an overall good guy but he's not the best at teaching. Still if you're looking for an easy grade he curves a lot and he does allow 4 pages of notes for every exam and quiz which helps a lot. You barely use the book so don't bother buying it but you will need to pretty much teach yourself the material. He's pretty decent though.

Prof. Wharton, though he tries very hard, is one of the most confusing professors I have ever had at OU. Tests are long and complicated, and even with 4 pages of meticulous notes, I have not done better than a 75 on any test in the class. He curves, and the class average is still poor on everything. The homework is easy, but does little to help.

Professor Wharton is absolutely one of the most confusing professors I've ever had. I've never taken a math course where I wasn't assigned homework for practice. Doesn't go over examples in class, only ones on excel (does all the work for him). If possible definitely take QMM with another prof. Only positive is you get cheat sheets for tests.

He's a funny guy, but his lectures are dry. Not his fault - material is just boring in general unless you're into Operations Management. Gives 4 - 5 assignments, and he says "as long as you do them, you'll pass the class" - even if turned in a little late. Tests are very hard, but he allows notes. Quizzes are open booknotescomputer.

Professor Wharton is an interesting man to say the least. He grades on a curve. The average is a 2.8, so if the class average is only 50%, then you get a 2.8 if you have a 50%. He teaches the material but not very clearly. I found myself having to teach myself a lot. Got to use up to 4 pages of notes on all exams, and averages were still around 60%

he seems all over the place, his class is passable but i don't recommend you take it. does all online homework and quizzes, he started the online thing this semester. I did not understand this class at all. test are hardly like the homework, more true and false then actual problems. Pretty much learn this on your own, he does however curve.

Burns through lecture notes fast, but drops hints about quiz/test questions (all based on his lectures). Book recommended only for self-guided practice. Pay close attention in class & concentrate on taking good notes. Sit by yourself if you have to, to pay attention to him and not classmates. Twisted sense of humor, nice guy, but isn't a push-over.
