Comment:

He teaches very quickly. We would usually cover 2 sections a day. They generally weren't hard, but if it was, you were left struggling. He gave out "homework" that you were supposed to do and then ask questions, but it wasn't for a grade. So only test grades. HE CURVES. Very much. On our final he gave us a curve that was more than 10 points.

Comment:

This was a typical math class show up learn a section do the homework. He didn't however check to see if we did the homework. The test with him were not multiple choice they were 10-20 questions and they are graded based on shown work. you get partial credit for doing the right steps even if you get the wrong answer. Rounded my grade up to a B

Great teacher! Very good at teaching math.. It helps going to class everyday and doing all of assigned homework

Comment:

Good guy, terrible teachers. His test questions aren't straight forward and ALWAYS have a trick answer. Grades are based SOLELY on your test scores. Material is extremely easy to understand and methods make sense, but his teaching style is not something I recommend.

Mr. Paris is a very nice guy and tries his best to keep the class entertained by combining modern day puns/technology with the learning of math. He moved extremely quick when it came to learning the basics, and this made the entire class struggle. Seems more interested in teaching the material instead of showing attention to students.

I had Mr. Paris for both college algebra, and business calculus, I feel that he is a very good teacher and would suggest taking him if you are willing to do the studying that he suggests. He expects some work from his students, but only so that you will have a full understanding of the material. Some of his classes have a little homework, some dont

Mr Paris is easily one of the best math professors ive ever had. He is organized, fun, and efficient. I suggest him to anyone looking into CSC

Took this class online. Probably not a good idea for most. Requires lots of reading and self testing prior to actual testing. The departmental final is crazy, but it is graded on a curve--thankfully. Use all hints and read all online material in conjunction with your assigned reading. See your math lab tutors. They are very helpful. Rm E-137

I took three different math courses with Mr. Paris and each of classes were taught very well. He taught with an easy to follow style and the class was very question driven, only moving on when eveybody understood the material. Great teacher.
