Zhidong Pan is horrible, don't take this course. Doesn't help at all, he just sends students to the math resource center and blames the student when they do poorly in class. Tried to go to his office hours for help hoping it'd be different than "go to resource center, math needs studying." but I was told to go get help and practice, that's all. BAD

Tends to brush off requests for help. Even after taking all notes during class, going to each class, doing the homework assignments, going to the tutors for help throughout the entire 14 weeks of class---the professor still acts like I'm not trying. Very frustrating.

Professor Pan knows Mathematics, he is good at it. But my experience has been that if you have questions, he will usually foot you over to the tutoring center rather than help you directly. For example, the Math program we use is free, but it is very touchy for the special codes it needs to answer questions. He wouldn't help me with the program.

Good teacher, very nice and helpful. Quizzes every period and one final. No attendance but you'll miss a quiz if you don't go so yeah. All in all he's a good professor though!

Professor Pan is really sweet. He's kind of shy and nervous, but he's a very good teacher. He's absolutely willing to help with anything. Just an all-around great guy and an awesome professor.
