MacNeil was a pretty good professor. His lectures were boring but if you go to class and put in the work you will pass. He has a very clear system and you always know what to expect. He lets you keep the quizzes which is a great resource for studying. His grading is also very clear.

Insanely boring class with off topic lectures and whole grade is based on the very few tests and quizzes he gives you. You have to teach yourself in order to pass. As a person he is a nice guy and knows Econ but he was hard to learn from and majority of the class fails tests and quizzes.

he only gives quizzes and tests and is very unclear in his lectures. the tests are very small but high point value for each question and you cannot get partial credit. in other words: you're screwed.

This class might be boring but it's easy. I got an A+. The people giving him bad reviews are either freshman or lazy. I looked him up on here before the class and almost dropped because of the bad reviews. There's no homework, only quizzes and tests. They're almost identical to the study guide questions and pages he tells you to study.

if you are going to take Econ 103 (micro) do not take it from Hasan Macneil. He was the worst teacher I have ever had. He hand wrote paragraphs on the board instead of power points, and often would use the " " sign for whole sentences making notes hard to take. He also went off topic ever class period and based all points off quizzes and tests.

This is the last teacher you should ever take a class from. Took Macro with him and failed. Next semester took it with another professor and got an A. He goes too fast and gives you way too many pages of notes to study from. Organization could be improved big time!

Think I literally lost my pulse in every single lecture this guy gave. Extremely boring and off topic. I had to teach myself all the material, which was difficult, but the tests and quizzes seemed true to the book so just read it and avoid lectures if you can, they'll drive you insane.

This professor was nice and funny. He can be boring sometimes but he tries to make the subject interesting with his stories and humor jokes to understand the material. Beware, he assigns a in class assignment and puts it on like quiz #4. Don't flunk the in class assignment. This guy looks like Ben stein.

Prof. MacNiel's class consists of really boring lecturers that usually go off topic and take all class, no homework or attendance, end of the week quizzes, and 3 exams. The exams are hard, and most of the class does poorly on them. The quizzes are a bit easier if you read and take notes. Although this class is not very demanding its NOT an easy A!

A very boring professor lecture style. Grading is poor with not receiving grades on papers 6 weeks after the papers are submitted after finals are given.

Pretty good teacher. Boring at times but keeps the class pretty interesting for an Econ class. your whole grade is based on 3 tests and 5 quizzes (drops lowest quiz) just don't mess up on one of the midterms or you'll probably get a C

This man is a treasure here! I chose to take this course and got off to a poor start due to his teaching style. Weekly quizzes on Wed and he teaches new material before you get to the quiz, so you can lose prior info. Economics not most fun subject, but he uses a lot of drug references and funny analogies. Ended up with B, but I finished strong

took microeconomics with a much more difficult teacher the previous semester and did well so i was fairly excited for macroeconomics. seems like a nice guy but everything he says is completely irrelevant. he's not nice at all when you ask questions, makes you feel stupid. good for people looking for an easy pass but if your grades matter STAY AWAY

Extremely boring lectures, if you don't pay attention, the class can slip away from you easily. It may be tempting to skip out on class, but DON'T unless you plan on making up the notes and working real hard outside class. If you like instructors who take an obvious interest in their students' success, Hansen isn't the one.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. He is not clear in his lectures, you take numerous amounts of notes. If you study those you will do okay on the exams. They are all multiple choice so you can make your best guess, but you don't learn much in his class. He is rude and is not helpful at all, avoid if possible.
