Comment:

It was supposedly her last semester at UTC when I was in her class. She seems friendly enough but her course work is petrifying. She gives out too many assignments at once as if I do not have 4 other classes I need to take care of too. There is extra credit, but not enough to take the class. If she continues to teach when she moves, I recommend not

Amy is awesome! She is definitely a tough grader, but if you go to her office hours she is more than willing to help you, and shows you everything you need to fix in your paper. She grades mostly on how you improve your writing, and allows unlimited revisions. She also allows a lot of extra credit. If you want to grow your writing, take her!!

Anderson is a awesome english professor. She will do random accents out of no where. Class always sits in a circle. If you go to class and do the HW, write the papers its an easy A. I went to her officer hours a bunch (which I recommend) she will help you and literally show you how to make an A on every paper. TAKE HER

Comment:

Although she requires a LOT of work, Amy is a very good teacher. She is extremely helpful and is great about meeting with students and answering questions. She requires a lot more than other scientific writing professors on campus, but you will learn a ton about scientific literature and how to be a great writer.

Amy is a very strict grader. She says that everything is vague, and you have to figure out how to fix it. She is good at answering emails and meeting with students. Get all your homeworkers done, do your revisions, and do the extra credit she offers! She is a hard teacher, so if you don't want to try don't take her.

Amy's class is hard, but if you work your butt off you'll be fine. If you're not willing to do homework and do your revisions on papers, then you will not do well. She is EXCELLENT at answering emails and meeting with students! She's vague; just ask her what she means (I do ALL the time) I've never learned so much in an English class.

She used the current examples in the media to keep the class interesting and involved. Her class is not an easy A. You have to work hard but it is very beneficial. I feel like this class has made me a better writer overall. I would definitely recommend!

Definitely an outgoing and funny teacher. Makes class interesting. Nice and very helpful, but the class is hard. There is so much work, and she is a hard grader. You have to keep up with the deadlines and start early on your research. It definitely becomes an overwhelming class towards the end of the semester.

Amy Anderson makes class a lot of fun. She is not boring whatsoever and loves to get to know her students personally. She is very funny, but makes 1020 relatively challenging for her students. If you go to class, complete all your assignments on time, and follow criteria you will do just fine. I definitely recommend her class.

Amy is a very intelligent woman, great professor, and hysterical. Class is mandatory, but discussions are interesting. Papers can be challenging but you can revise every paper you write for a better grade. She's wants to help and is always available for a meeting. She will turn you into a great writer! Ms Amy is an amazing professor. She is extremely picky and she grades really hard. She will push you and demand you to make the grades you want. UMMM OVERALLLLL good teacher. but during the semester she drove me insane. She's not very clear on what she wants, and will TRICK YOU. Meeting with her will help you, very much, but will frustrate you as well. I liked her, but I also couldnt stand her.

She was a great professor! Worked with me on every paper til I got an A. If you come to class, make the effort to write great papers, and do a lot of redrafts you will be fine. She responds quickly to emails and flexibly schedules meetings. Watch out though, she's got a theatre department background; sometimes this makes her do impromptu skit thing

hmm.. Hard grader!. Very picky on what she wants. I made the same grade on all of my papers and i would have consults with her on how to fix them. I would get the revisions back and it would be worse, but it was what she asked for. But a wonderful woman to speak to. If you are good with papers and a little stress, take her. Just a little difficult.
