Lots of reading, but class is fun. only teaches by asking questions, watch lots of boring movies. Easy quizzes if you do the reading. He's not very flexible in his views, but that doesn't really matter unless you're not either. If you need an easy HSS VA, consider Dr. Michel. Has slight accent, but easy to understand. Very interesting class. A lot of reading, but pretty easy. He always facilitates a lot of good discussions, so if you don't like talking in class, having discussions about books and stuff, don't bother.

Dr Michel is a great prof to have for german. I just know that he really cares about the class, and he's a really nice guy if you ever see him on campus. Test difficulty is average, and the homework is just for you to do to help you learn. Great Prof!
