I love Dr. Sain! I thought this class was really interesting, and she did a good job of bringing theology and technology together. There is a lot of reading, one midterm test, and a final paper. It is doable if you put in the effort.

Professor Sain was fair and honest with us, although she can be quite tough on grading papers. Make sure to attend all classes and you'll be alright. The calendar is likely to change every week, so make sure to stay up-to-date on the due dates of the assignments or you'll have a tough time. Overall, she's a good professor and kind person.

I would never take professor Sain for a theo course again. She was one of the worst teachers i've ever had. She has no powerpoints, no guided notes, nothing to follow along with in class and she just talks for an hour and a half expecting you to absorb the information. She is not accommodating if you play a sport etc. And she never emails backs.

Dr. Sain is pretty cool and it's super easy to get an A if you just go to class and listen to what she says, the online quizzes are the easiest points to ever get and the only tests you have are a midterm and final

Dr. Sain is a lovely person but bad teacher. She never grades anything and her lectures are lacking in structure and content. She is also a hard grader and has stated that on papers she doesn't give out anything above a 95 because otherwise she would publish it, basically saying you have a grade ceiling in this course. She also docent allow tech :(

The main assignments are just readings. A few easy quizzes throughout the semester. They are easy if you do the readings. No in class final, just a 10-page paper comparing the class material to a cultural event.

Dr. Sain is a nice and good-intentioned lady. She does not allow any electronics during class unless the reading was online. Her lectures are amazingly boring. She makes attempts at jokes. She is a fair grader and gives good feedback.

Sain is a little quirky, but makes theology as interesting as possible. She prepares you well for the midterm and final (only tests in the course). There are also online reading quizzes and a few papers plus one very causal presentation. Overall, she's a good teacher and her class is relatively easy if you do the work. Definitely recommend.

THEO 200 is a breeze with Professor Sain! Review the quizzes she assigns for the midterm and final and you will pass easily. The major paper due in the class is on The Matrix, which you watch in class.

The reading can be extremely overwhelming but you have to make time for it in this course! This course was very engaging and the Exams are fairly challenging! If you take this course be prepared to work for it! I really appreciated Sain because she will take time with you outside of class which is super helpful!

Professor Sain is a fantastic teacher: she's incredibly passionate about her lectures and tries to make them unbiased/inclusive (for a theology class) in an understandable way. Uses both 4-5 page papers and multiple choice & short essay exams throughout the course that are memorization heavy. No textbook, but many chapters from random books.

I really enjoyed her. Allows for class discussion and to pursue our own theological interests. Doesn't allow technology in class which is hard for some, but I highly recommend her. Good teacher and also a good person.

I went to St. Thomas with little to no experience with formal religion. Professor Sain has sparked my interest in theology. She uses real-life examples to explain some more obscure texts.. If you're afraid of being uncomfortable in a theology class, pick Dr. Sain. There is no pressure to believe any certain way, and she is very witty and funny!

Very boring, doesn't give back papers in a timely manner, tough grader. Essay question on exams is difficult and requires you to know the readings. Nice lady though

Textbook is cheap, but needed. Lectures can be long. Several papers that weren't too bad. Lots of quizzes but they are online. Quite a bit of reading. takes a while to grade. Class is setup to be discussional so long as the class wants, then lecture afterwards. Final was a bit easier than expected, still hard. Overall good prof. , decent class.

Notes are not posted online, so attendance is a must to passing. Readings and quizzes for every class day, but are fairly easy. 4 short papers, 1 presentation, 3 long papers and a final. Relatively easy grader, but make sure you proofread. Nice prof, but be warned: very slow at grading papers. Inexpensive course packet was a huge plus.

Takes extremely long to grade papers and doesn't enter the grades in blackboard so I didn't even know my actual grade going into the final. There are numerous readings during the semester that are all possible for the final. She expects me to master 20 different peoples ideas. Her notes are extremely unorganized and don't help at all.

Worst class to ever be considered as a general. It is extremely difficult, and this prof. expects too much from students. She doesn't write out notes. All she does is talk. Yes, it is a seminar class, but she expects everyone to remember every single detail. Very picky on all assignments including tests. Readings are too heavy of a load. Very bad.
