Ben's one of my favorite profs at WU. While other WU profs can destroy your interest in a subject, he'll rekindle it. He can make a hard class easy because he is genuinely a gifted teacher. He loves his subjects and students. He treated me as a friend. I didn't get an A, but I know I got the grade I earned.

Excellent professor, always enthusiastic and knows all of his students by name (even for years after taking his class!). He obviously loves the subject as is a lot of fun, especially in lab. Ask lots of questions during the review session before exams, it always helps and he'll usually tell you exactly what's going to be on the test.

He is extremely interested in his subject matter. His tests seem a tad bit hard for a 100 level class, but considering there is no hw, they should be. Some of his teachings do not correspond to lab, but nevertheless, they are pretty interesting (at least most of them).

What an enthusiastic person! I loved (and still remember fondly) how he said "This is a really slick mechanism!" in class when he talked about a sea star's stomach and how it worked. :)

Great professor, fun and helpful. Loves biology to death. Lectures go rather fast but if you study the Powerpoints at home and read the book you'll do great on the tests. A really nice guy.

Good, kind, gentle professor. Very hard and he does not go out of his way much to help you understand the material compared to other departments. Tests are VERY confusing if you have very little science background.
