Comment:

Weinstein is truly an autority on British Romanticism, and his passion for poetry is quite visible. Unfortunately, he appears to be fixated on minutiae and gives quizzes that demonstrate near cruelty on his part. Perhaps he hates teaching low-level students at a university at the bottom tier.

This professor tests on memorization and not the content of the reading. If he doesn't agree with your interpretation of the text, he will repeatedly bring up that fact that you were wrong. Be prepared to read a lot, to be tested on dates and, memorizing lines, including several full length poems throughout the semester.

Great teacher! 1 of the best @ UNLV! Helpful, funny, nice, & passionate about English! His quizzes are hard-you must read & there is a lot of reading. He grades hard, but fairlyâ€"he thoroughly reads through papers & gives very helpful feedback, which is awesome! Even though his classes are hard, they are worthwhile & interesting: you will learn!

This is a great class. Dr. Weinstein is an excellent professor. He picks great literature and we had open discussions in class. He is very nice, helpful, and extremely smart. I suggest that everyone should take this class!

His classes requires work and attention to detail, but his discussions are worth it. He is a teacher very much dedicated to the literature he reads. He is very fair and sometimes gets so moved by the literature he cries.

This guy rocks! He is the sweetest little man and brings in records of the actual poets we study reading their own poems. He is very passionate about what he does and very smart. He respects his students and is just an awesome teacher!
