Comment:

ONE OF THE WORST PROFESSORS I'VE HAD. DON'T TAKE HER. she gives an excessive amount of work for 100 level course. constantly was doing writing assignments for this class and has points off for grammar. its an HIV class not a writing class. 5-7 page paper, all quizzes have mc, fill in the blank & short answer, aka u better study. basically she sucks

Comment:

Although Dr. Beshers is a really nice lady, she was not my favorite professor. She takes FOREVER to grade assignments. She still hasn't graded assignments due in February, and it is now April. Tests are difficult, but as long as you study it shouldn't be a problem. Also, I have noticed that she doesn't seem to respond to emails in a timely manner.

She has been very unhelpful my entire fieldwork experience. She comes off nice but it's her way or the high way. I've expressed how this internship was an awful fit and she refused to place me in a different sitting. My fieldwork experience and her have destroyed my desire to work in the health promotion field. I wish I studied business.

One of the best teachers I have had a Cortland. Highly recommend taking any of her classes. Amazing person and very sociable with her class. Has a sense of humor, my class adored her. Fun class & she gives extensions if needed.

I would recommend this class because it is fun, but not recommend it because it is a lot of work! There are tests, papers, and lots of reading from a regular book (no textbook :). The tests are hard and very specific, but overall the concepts are easy.

Very interesting class, very crazy teacher. Covers a lot of notes in class, so just print out the notes online and bring them to class. A couple of quizzes and a final, non of them cummulative. 4-7 page research paper on hiv prevention. tests are mc and fill in the blank, but with no word bank so STUDY STUDY STUDY. Overall great teacher

Dr. B is very nice and this class is very interesting and the work is not very hard at all, but there does seem to always be a lot of work. I actually did more writing in this 100 level, GE class than I did in my writing intensive class. Tests aren't too bad and class can be really fun sometimes.

This lady is a great teacher-- she was fun and kept class interesting. Her tests can be tricky if you don't study but all her powerpoints are online. Quizzes for every Learning Module (about 5) and a research paper at the end (4-6 pages) Not bad AT ALL.. Would highly recommend her!!

Prof. Beshers is pretty fun. She's very open to anything you feel like discussing. The class isn't too hard. Tests are right from the notes and she tries to get the class involved in her lectures. It's an interesting class and it's a GE.

This class is easy. It is Very interesting. The tests are right from the notes, just study and you will do fine. She is so understanding and will do anything to help. the class is not that hard at all, take it for an elective :) There are only 4 quizzes and a final and the quizzes are mc and some short answer.

Ha, she is one of the craziest teachers. She's definitely fun and very open and you will learn a lot. She plays games like sex pictionary and it is hillarious. There isn't too much work, like four papers, a report, a poster presentation(group work) and midterm and final. It's worth taking though because it is fun.

Alot of reading, but one out of very few classes that I really enjoyed the text. Great discussions in class, Besher's really lets everyone open up and speak freely. She allows students to feel as if their opinion is just as important as hers.
