Comment:

Great guy. Very friendly and easy-going but an extremely boring class. He is long-winded and will explain the same thing much longer than is needed. Also, he really only reads off the p.p. slides and explains what he read. Don't bother with the book, it is never used for anything. Try to pay attention in class though, that is important. Easy class.

Don't buy the book, he never uses it. He posts all his powerpoints online, so bring a computer to class or you'll fall asleep. Nice guy, but very dull teacher. Very easy class, so long as you study the quizzes and powerpoints before tests.

Sweet guy but a terrible lecturer. Very repetitive, very boring class; however, I did learn a lot. If you can put up with being bored, absolutely take the class...if you're tempted to surf the net, etc--don't, because you won't do well if you don't pay attention. About 9 quizzes (drops 2) and 4 tests. Study the power points!

Professor Hodgin is a good guy. He is the biggest push-over ever! If you do the homework assignments online, you will be fine. Try to pay attention in class even though it is hard to do. If you don't pay attention, you might have trouble with the test because you haven't been listening to him at all. Take him if you want to slack off

Bring your computer. Play some games, chat with friends, it doesn't matter. As long as you do the online assignments, you'll learn the material. Sweet guy, but he basically reads off the powerpoints that are included online.

This is one of the easiest classes you will take at Belmont. There is an online study tool that he uses and all of the test questions come from that. You can sit on facebook the whole class and still get an A. AWESOME. Hodgin is a really sweet guy that is easygoing and very helpful

Nice guy, horrible teacher. He reads from the Powerpoints that came with the book (which are very helpful mind you, but he puts them on Blackboard so there's no use in coming to class). His tests are pretty hard though unless you're really good at memorizing all the concepts on your own and being able to apply them to a real life situation.

Extremely boring class. Hodgin is one of the nicest people, but he tends to teach a concept in the first 15 minutes and then just repeat the same thing over again. I studied for his tests and barely passed them. Never missed class. No homework. just activities on Blackboard and as he said-you just have to click on them

good guy but definately worst teacher ever! Direct quote: "the key factors. K. what is really relavent. K. when a key determinant changes. K. that's what's important. k..." image 50 minutes of that mess...so go ahead take him if you want a class where you don't have to do jack, i would say put your $1500 to better use and take another teacher.

Do not take him if you want to learn. This class was a great time to catch up on homework for other classes. It is SO Boring! Do attend because he takes attendance, but bring your laptop and go over the study tools online while he's teaching. Maybe you'll learn something that way!

He's the nicest man in the world, but his classes are sooo boring. Very hard to pay attention. His tests are confusing and I would study for them and still barely scrape by with a D. He takes attendance most of the time, but I don't think he actually refers to it again. Don't take this class if you really want to learn microeconomics.
