She makes you go to an elementary, middle, or high school and sit in on a class and evaluate it. You need to do a certain amount of hours. Thing is, I sat in on classes my whole life. Why do I need to go back? Weird.

Often assigns group projects or group classwork with random groups. The projects are relatively simple, as long as you do proper research. The harder ones typically center around the reading from the textbook. Lectures are filled with tips and interesting stories that are worth coming to class for. Much of this class is history based, be prepared.

Dr. Chiccarelli is an awesome professor! You have to do observation hours and your grade is made of weekly discussion posts , attendance, two group projects throughout the semester, and a final project. It's really easy just show and do your work and you'll get an A

One of the best professors out there. Very reasonable and knowledgeable. Her lectures often went a bit tangential, but she always had something worth hearing.

Dr. Chiccarelli is probably the best professor I've had at this institution. She is so kind, funny and caring - not to mention knowledgeable about education. I highly enjoyed her class and wish I could take a class with her again. I highly recommend her. A lot of homework but it was quick and easy. Just show her respect and she'll respect you.

The class, required of any and all Education majors or minors, is pretty "meh." It was a little too juvenile for me, like I was back in high school or something, and the final presentations became so boring as everybody was doing the same thing that we all lost interest. But when she LECTURES, you learn a LOT. Try to lead her into discussions.

Dr. Chiccarelli is awesome. She's very knowledgeable and kind. She tends to ramble a lot, but the class is based off of discussion board posts and a group project which are easy. The difficult thing (and is not Dr. C's fault) is the AVID hours. You are expected to dedicate 10-20 hours to the AVID program, which was difficult.

Dr. Chiccarelli is an outstanding educator! She captures her students attention by challenging them to think about relevant topics in Education. Dr. C encourages students to put themselves into various situations and problem-solve a response. She guides students through effective classroom discussion and project-based learning. AWESOME EDUCATOR

Dr. C is great. She only grades off of discussion board posts and random presentations she assigns. Just as a warning, her presentation expectations are not clear. She also runs class as a lecture and can talk for hours on end. But overall she is a wonderful teacher, a great person, and an easy A as long as you put in some effort.

She only grades you on discussion posts to blackboard and there are two groups projects that are easy to do. Her class is lecture heavy but an easy class to get an A and there is one book to the class. Overall Chiccarelli is one of the nicest and most caring professors. I would definitely take another class with her again.

Dr. C is a sweetheart. She is also the easiest professor I've ever had. She posts weekly discussion board posts and has a group project. She is very disorganized, and often admits she had no plans for the day. However, I recommend you take her because she is knowledgeable, helpful, and an amazing person.

She's super nice just disorganized. Her lectures are kind of just random rants of whatever she wants to talk about that is somewhat related to teaching. Does a group project and final project. No tests or quizzes. Book is sort of needed . Observation hours are necessary to pass! Otherwise really easy class.

I love her! She's one of my favorite professors on campus. I can't stress enough how knowledgable she is on everything. You can ask her about anything from education to life's deepest questions and she'll give you an answer. She is very long-winded, but she's great. I have learned about from her about how to manage a classroom. Would take again!

Dr. Chiccarelli is probably the nicest teacher at WSU. She lectures and has long classes, but the work is incredibly easy (my average was a 99.2). She cares about her students and our opinions are genuinely meaningful to her. She's a must have teacher, and an inspiration.

Had her for a semester where we were only graded on discussion posts on blackboard, and two group projects. The first was a 12 hour powerpoint, and the second was a 5 minute presentation, but in terms of what she actually teaches, she did nothing. She divied up the sections in the book on her exam, and had the kids teach them. Talkative as well.
