If you can avoid her do so. As long as you learn the basics in the program you will do alright on tests, since you can use it on the test. if you email her a question about the homework she will awnser in a round about way. She expects you to use stuff she hasnt taught you for the homework and her directions are not clear, expect to get low scores.

Hard subject to teach but will put you to sleep. Probably could figure out the homework at home and skip the lectures.

She is often not prepared for lecture. It takes a long time to get graded tests back.

Relatively easy class. Given it's a programming course you need to do the programming to learn. The homeworks are the ticket to an easy A. I believe some of the other complaints listed on this site are from people who didn't take the personal responsibility to invest necessary effort to actually learn the material. Don't expect handouts.

Won't accept code if it's not done her way. Using functions she hasn't lectured on gets points off. Incredibly boring and useless lectures. Doesn't allow use of the built-in "help" function on tests (even though it will ALWAYS be there in the real world). I don't doubt that she is intelligent, but she was not meant to be a teacher. Avoid her.

This class was useless. Her lectures did nothing to prepare the students for the HW. She does take attendance, but I used the class to do other homework, check my facebook, and do other random things. The tests were easy, the homework was difficult because she didn't teach how to do it.. Used the MLC a lot for help with the programs.

Nice teacher, but either doesn't care about this class or is not a very good teacher, though I am guessing the latter option. I won my fantasy football league because like everyone else in the class, I ignored her lectures as they were useless. She will stick around and help you after class, but her individual help is not very useful either.

Took the class because I was told it was required. Waste of a class, she has very little knowledge about the subject. Tests weren't too hard, but she was a very ineffective teacher, and useless when you have a problem with your code. My advice, make friends with people in the class and work together.

I believe the class was CS 102, it was Web Design. I enjoyed her as a teacher. She was mellow and didn't mind tardiness. When she didn't know someting (forgot it) it made the class more enjoyable/funny! I would reccomend taking this class if you have any interest in Web Design, photo editing, or learning Dreamweaver, Photoshop, or fireworks.
