Dr Ross is a good professor. Her quizzes exams and homework are very hard tho. She expects you to learn a lot on ur own too. Too little time on exams. Sh eis very willing to help and very nice.

Comment:

You will want to know MATLAB well and a bit of linear algebra. Dr. Ross is a clear teacher but give deceptively hard exams. You will have to work long and hard on group lab reports that she turns back in a conference. Don't get on her bad side as she is the chair of the department. Rated hot for her tight pants.

Comment:

Professor Ross is a great teacher. She can take very challenging material in fluids and make it reasonably understandable. Her grading is more than fair, but she does expect you to pay attention in lecture and do the homework. Your grade at the end is a fair reflection of what you learned and how much effort you put into the class.

Fluids is tough and you won't do well if you're a slacker- but she states that in NO uncertain terms on the first day of class. Dr Ross is one of the best teacher's you'll have as an undergrad. If you show up and do your work she'll go far out of her way to help you!

Dr. Ross is a very clear lecturer, and if you show up to class and take good notes you will do just fine. The book is OK but not nearly so clear as she makes the concepts in class, so bottom line, show up to class!! She is very, helpful and nice!

Her class may be tough, but if she sees you put in the effort, she'll help you in whatever way she can. You learn so much in this class; try re-doing the first exam when you study for finals and you'll realize that it was that straight forward the whole time. Dr. Ross is the best person to teach fluids!!

Many people who claim that Dr. Ross is a bad teacher have no basis for their statement- if they ever actually showed up to class they'd understand the material! She has a very organized and clear style of teaching, and is a fun, approachable person!!

You the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, where the guy gets his heart ripped out before he is thrown into the liquid magma? That guy had it easy. Because of Dr. Ross I can no longer have kids as my testicles have retracted back into the inguinal canal, I'm not sure I would want to bring them into such a cruel and cold world anyway.

My whole academic career was changed by this professor. I tried really hard to do well in this class. I showed up to every single lecture, which I rarely have to do. I still earned a D in this course, after a lot of hard work. My cognition on the topic was not up to par, but I have to say I worked really hard. Something about that isn't right.

I think she gets a bad rep. b/c she teaches a hard class. She is fair and is very willing to help! She trys to do as many examples as time allows but on the same token she isn't going to spoon feed you! Hell this is college not high school so learn it a little on your own! If you need help, that is what she is there for!
