Comment:

Good professor in lecture for a very tough class. However, the online format of learning was pretty hard to learn from. If you did very poorly on one test he offered to let you retake it at the end of the semester, but he took that opportunity away due to Covid-19, which was a game changer. Can say that he is a good guy and professor, however.

Comment:

I had Dr. Hansen for O-Chem 1 & 2, taken during the expedited summer semesters. It was by far the hardest material I've covered in college so far, but he was effective in covering the material clearly and concisely. He's great about grading work and returning it right away. My grade wasn't stellar, but that's on me. I highly recommend him!

Took Hanson for OChem 1-2. Great prof. incredibly helpful and approachable. none of this helped my grade. Tests are hard if you are not an organic person. Averages on the tests are around 70 with no curve. Lets class out early often. OChem sucks but Hansen will make it suck a little less. ha

Comment:

Dr. Hansen has been the best professor/advisor ever. He can make a subject that you don't find interesting what so ever amazing. The material was hard but he always knew exactly how to explain the material for your better understanding. I've never met a professor who cared so much and put so much effort into helping students.

If you didnt take chemistry 1103 then chemistry 1203 will be a challenge. Dr. Hansen is a good teacher but the class is really hard unless you are good in chemistry. He teaches very fast, so its best to follow along in the book instead of taking notes. Go to the free tutoring sessions it helps.
