Comment:

I took Discrete Math with Dr. Rowland and she is my favorite professor I've encountered so far at Merrimack. She really cares about her students and will do everything she can to make sure they do well. Her study guides/practice tests are exactly like the tests, no surprises. And Zybooks Discrete bible, use that to your advantage.

Really good teacher. Very clear and effective. Helps prepare you well for tests with in-class examples and always willing to slow down / go over things twice. Not "easy" but really fair and wants to see you succeed.

This class was difficult, but the teacher really made the class worth while. If it was any other teacher I probably would have failed, but I ended up with an A. She is very helpful and fair. Make sure to go for extra help, she likes when students try to get more help. Worst class, but best teacher!

Dr. Rowland was an AWSOME professor. The class was very difficult but she is very willing to help you outside of class and around YOUR schedule. She is a very kind woman and I would totally recommend taking her. I may not have aced the class but I learned alot from her and she had alot to offer the class.

Tall, lanky, awkward, 9 out of 10 classes she would walk into something, usually the trash can. Overall a great techer! Very softspoken and kind-natured, which at times put me to sleep, but I highly recommend her for basic math courses.
