All the answers to the textbook are online, you use the book daily, he only takes attendance once a week, if you show up to class you will pass, if you get a bad grade you can reason with him for a new one... super easy A

Professor Maravi is a nice guy, but he is not a good professor. He does not know how to explain concepts in the lessons adequately. His lectures are very unorganized and very hard to follow. He grades hard and does not give feedback that will help you understand what you did wrong. No curves. I am a good student & barely passed. I don't recommend.

Unless you have a clear understanding of all the topics before you take this class then you will not know what you're doing. He is not a good explainer and everyone in my class had a hard time. He gives some information to only the people in review that is needed for the entire course. Nice guy, bad teacher

Really great professor when it comes to stats. He knows the material inside and out and is excellent at teaching it. All quizzes and exams are open notebook, so if you follow his lectures you will do fine. Maravi is very funny, yet can be sort of peculiar. I would definitely recommend him.

Very nice guy and all but very very hard to understand, did well on all his quizzes but missed the day of chi squared test did bad on the midterm, but wouldnt allow anything to help my grade, not a hard class but he will NOT give you any way to help your grade if you make one mistake

Comment:

Does not teach class at all. All he does is call on people to read from the textbook then answer questions. You work on material alone in class and he then calls on people to answer the questions. Nobody understands whats going on. This should not be a self-taught class. He needs to be more involved and not call on people it's embarassing.

He is actually a very funny guy and is easy to get along with, but as far as teaching goes he is horrible. You can tell that he knows the material, he just has no clue how to teach it to others. He goes off on wild tangents and thinks that if he repeats himself over and over that his students will understand him. He's a nice guy but not a good prof

Worst teacher I have taken at Le Moyne. Would never suggest to anyone to take him. Impossible to pay attention during class because he goes off on tangents or just doesnt explain things well. Think your doing well then all of a sudden you do bad on finals or labs and your grade tanks. Would never take him again.

He is a really nice, reasonable, and genuine guy. Definitely peculiar but I thought he was funny.. I found he was hard to learn from because of his teaching style, but with tutoring, did well. repeats unnecessary things. all tests are open note/book. Easy if you put forth the effort..

A very peculiar man. He tends to repeat things over and over again that dont need to be repeated. Lots of class time wasted on needless repeating. Other than that, he is very entertainng and intelligent. His class is easy, and he makes it even easier

Peculiar personality, but this is the easiest course ever. MOST IMPORTANT: if you pay attention, you will learn as much if not more than other classes while doing almost none of the work. Ask him to do his Arnold Schwarzenegar impression.

Everything is open book open notes! You can do your homework in groups! He's always there to help you if you need help out of class! Can be a bit chatty in class and sometimes we didn't actually start class til it was already half way over! Overall, GREAT Teacher and person! TAKE HIM!

He is great. A little high strung, but gets the job done. He is always willing to help outside of class if u don't understand. Easy class, everything is open book, open note including exams, midterm, and final.
