Comment:

Dr. Tate makes a boring class engaging and interesting. He assigns papers as opposed to tests and grades students based upon class participation in discussions. The discussions make students use their brains and can result in some interesting debates. I would recommend this professor to all!

Comment:

Class was actually interesting, but you always have to read the book before class because you are graded on participation. Exams were take-home but they focused on topics that we discussed in class along with our own views. Overall professor is caring and if you follow the syllabus then you'll do fine.

I had him for the Good Life. He explains complex ideas in a way that you can understand, and he encourages students to share their opinions in class. Overall, he is a very kind professor who seems to be interested in what the students have to say. On the downside, there was quite a bit of reading that had to be done out of class.

tate is what bonas is about, opens your mind, engages in conversation, class was the best ive taken at bonas, really gets you thinking, extremely fair grader, allows you to debate amongst yourselves and interjects his own thoughts, not pushy in any way, take him if you can amazing prof...and really handsome too!

Dr. Tate is a wonderful professor. His classes were widely enjoyed by everyone taking them with me. I remember having great conversations/arguments as a group. If you take chances and test your understanding with questions, especially if you are wrong, the class will blossom. Eventually you will get it right. One of my favorite Profs.
