Dr. Chabot's class is definitely not a walk in the park- but its totally worth it. I have never learned so much information that actually interests me in any previous college class. He is super nice and hilarious; he's really fun to have in class. Probably one the best teachers I've had at Fordham. A must-take if you have the opportunity.

Comment:

I took him for family psych and I found that it was really interesting. I felt like he could do more to facilitate some discussions and that he could press some issues to talk about the more uncomfortable stuff. He is really charming and hard not to like. Very discussion based, with discussion questions for each chapter each class and then talking.

Comment:

Dr. Chabot was by far the most knowledgeable professor I've had at Fordham. Don't let his scare tactics in the beginning make you want to drop the course, because although in the beginning there's a lot of writing, reading, speaking, etc., things slow down and become a lot more enjoyable (so stick with it). You learn a lot, definitely a must take!

An awesome professor! I guess he expect a decent amount of writing, but aside from short papers this was the easiest class to fulfill the requirements. Chabot is really friendly and will work with you if you need help or an extension

I really liked Chabot as a professor even though he was intimidating in the beginning. That said, unless you need an EP3, I'd avoid taking his class because it is a LOT of writing. Participation is required.

this class has entirely too much work. every class you hand in a paper. i repeat, EVERY CLASS THERE IS A PAPER. once you hand them in, the whole class is pointless. entirely too much work outside of class if you're like me and go to class to learn from your peers. awful.

There is a lot of work but it's relevant to the class and really makes you think. 2 10-12 pg papers and daily reflections of the reading (for a while), but they're easy and really help you with APA writing. I learned so much..he may seem like a tough cookie in the beginning but he's so great. Brilliant, I def recommend Dr. Chabot!

I loved Dr. Chabot's class! He is by far the best professor Fordham has! He gives a lot of homework but it is very pertinent to the class. He knows his stuff and is funny too. I recommend him highly!

Great prof--very interesting class. Participation is required but class material is interesting so you will want to participate anyways. there is a lot of work but it is worth it. You must do the readings and the papers but you will gain valuable info from all the work you do--not mere busy work

He's very difficult and expects a lot from upperclassmen. He's on one big power trip and puts everyone down to stay on it. Avoid this class unless you double major in English and are prepared to work your ass off.

He's so intelligent and doesn't require class attendance. The material is difficult but he is SO willing to help make the process easier. The tests are hard but he will work with you and is completely fair. Definitely take this class!
