Comment:
Don't take this class. The post-script program that's used is out-dated and insanely difficult to understand, and Prof. Feldman doesn't help if you're confused (which I was every single day). If you get an answer wrong or don't participate he just gets angry and makes the class sit in silence. This class was five months of hell, save yourself.

This professor was the worst professor I have ever had at UNH. I dont know how his course was approved by anyone. You are confused the entire time and by the end of it learn nothing. He sits there and ask questions that no one knows the answers to then he proceeds to stare at everyone for long periods of time. Do not take this course. Trust me.

Professor Feldman is insanely smart. That being said he will go over things very quickly. YOU HAVE TO SLOW HIM DOWN. Ask questions and get engaged. Not only will you get an A but if you put in the effort you could actually learn something.e If you're a dedicated student and you actually want to learn, Feldman is the right choice.

I wouldn't take a class with this dude again for all the money in the world. Be prepared to be the most confused that you've ever been. He literally just rambles on for two hours and none of what he is saying makes sense. I have no idea how I'm doing in the class because he gives no feedback. Save yourself and don't take this class.

Didn't teach the material at all. The lectures had more to do with what he was researching that week. He gave long, and hard homework that again fr the most part had nothing to do with proofs. Was extremely vague about how our grades were determined, and was often very rude. I passed this class but learn absolutely nothing.

Comment:
He teaches a mathematical proof class like a math philosophy class with no clarity at all. He expects students to be as bright as he is and able to understand everything he lectures about. There is no clarity in grading he told us he will grade us subjectively. Still not sure what that means.

This class is one of the easiest discoveries you can take. But expect to not know what you're doing the entire time. This is a class aimed for arts majors, but the math portion is coding. He won't tell you how to do it, you just have to sit through 2 hours of confusing rambling. He doesn't give tests or quizzes, so if you show up you pass.

An absolutely terrible professor. He gives zero feedback and is extremely vague with assignments and class instruction. He is extremely rude and goes out of his way to make you feel inferior for giving a wrong answer.

Should NOT being teaching Finite, as most students take it for a gen-ed. I honestly could not find a correlation between the material and his lectures. One entire class he talked about how we should take the vocab of math seriously because a jerusalem artichoke is not from jerusalem but is called that for other reasons. ??

absolute worst class and professor i have ever had. lectures are completely pointless. you cant understand a word he says and at times neither can he, he reads from these long paragraph slides from his own persona textbook that he wrote himself because all of the "real" books are wrong. if it wasnt for the TA's nobody would ever pass his class.

By far the worst teacher i have ever had. He sounds like he's speaking another language and jumps around a lot, confuses himself, and then jumps to something else. He teaches the class with large paragraph slides (this is math class...) that don't make much sense at all. Dont bother asking questions either, or show up for lecture, pointless.

Professor Feldman is by far one of the smartest, most intellectual and interesting professors I've ever had, a TRUE mathematician. Not the best for lower level math courses, but good for students actually interested in learning. Talk with him about mathematics and art and music and you'll be awe-struck. Read chapters ahead of time, you'll do fine.

He's a genius of mathematics! He will tailor his lectures to the students that give him feedback. Once you get over being indimidated by his quirkiness and high intellectual level, he's great to work with one on one.

If you just go and try to pay attention for those 2 hours, he'll notice and take that into account and you might have a better idea of what he's looking for even though his directions are vague. He's lenient and understanding if you do your part too. You definitely need to have an open mind, patience and creativity to succeed in the class.

have him for finite, havn't learned a single thing. He doesn't teach math whatsoever. Then we get a test or quiz and fail. No one goes to his lectures and he's getting the dean involved. Maybee if he tought like a normal teacher people would show uppp..

There was no grading system. This class was supposed to be finite, but it ended up being more like an art class. We learned code and then had to make pictures and sound with it. He would not let us know what our grade was or how we were doing in the class during the semester.

worst math experience of my life.. no grades, no book, no syllabus.. yet he had the audacity to tell me I didn't turn in enough hw two weeks after the class was over.. he warned me of my "unfortunate" grade to come.
