Great professor! Im a STEM major and was hesitant about fulfilling my religion gen ed, but Dr. Andersons class has me considering taking more religion classes with him. Interesting lectures, not an unnecessary amount of homework, and very nice person. Kept class relevant and sometimes shared funny stories. Clear on what material is tested.

I was skeptical about taking Dr. Andersons class for my religion gen-ed, but I absolutely loved the class! Take notes and read for sure because his tests are all on lecture and discussion material and often include direct recall. Also, make sure to go into detail on your essays.

Dr. Anderson was not a bad professor. Go to him for feedback on your papers or go to the writing center for help. I wont lie to you, 98% of the time I had no idea what was going on in his class. Just read whatever he assigns, watch every episode of the leftovers and youll do great!

I was skeptical about Dr. Anderson's class when I was put in it because it was the only one that would work with my schedule, but what I found was a life-changing class that changed my perspective on religion and the world. You have never had a class formatted like his, but it is so worth it to just be able to learn from him. Not bad at all!

Comment:
Anderson gives great lectures and his introductory religion class was very interesting. He assigns reading or documentaries to watch for every class on a variety of topics. There are very few essays so if you do poorly on one it's hard to recover. The outlines for essays are sometimes vague but he tries to give feedback.

His feedback on papers, the main focus of humanities, is vague at best. If you are a pretty decent writer you'll do fine. He makes class fun and engages students. Weights a good chunk of grade into homework and participation which is a great booster at the end of the semester. If you collaborate with classmates some you'll be totally fine.

Comment:
Could not say worse about Dr. Anderson. Boring, self righteous, and an absolutely ridiculous and unfair grader. Completely opinion based assessments yet if your opinion is different from his, your grade suffers. He couldnt be more slack, but hes been at wofford forever so he can do literally whatever he wants which is absurd if you ask me.

Prof. Anderson is the slowest grader I have ever had in my educational career. He doesn't put a single grade into moodle until the day before final grades are due. He talks about absolute nonsense and the papers he assigns are totally ridiculous. Most papers are opinion based, however my opinions and interpretations seem to always be wrong.. hmm

Comment:
The tests are always subjective essay questions which makes it very difficult to try to get your point across well. He grades more on writing ability than knowledge of the material which is a little frustrating. He is very nice, funny, and willing to help but he doesn't get his point across very well during the lectures.

Dr. Anderson is a really quirky professor. In class, it's very boring. He lectures the entire time but basically all you need to know is what he writes on the board. Homework is extremely easy and he is very good about giving as much credit to any answer on his tests.

If you like pulling comparison out of your ass on exams, then this is the class for you. Funny guy, but he talks so slow and takes forever to get the point that you just don't even care wants he gets to the point. Exams are subjective essays and he takes points off for how well you can rate a person (0-100) based on comparisons to another person.

One of the most interesting classes that I have taken here. Dr. Anderson is really into what he is teaching and makes it fun to talk about his subject. His classes have a lot of reading and writing, but I was in an upper level religion class, so that's what I expected.

Anderson is a hilarious teacher! He always makes his material really really interesting. I will say that he is an extremely hard grader and his tests are essay, so if you don't know what you are talking about, then you probably won't do too well. My tip is to actually do the readings!

Anderson is great. He really loves teaching, and he handles religious differences so fairly. He gives a lot of reading, and his tests are all essay-based, but the class is interesting enough to be worth it. Take him!
