I am not even done taking this guy. I have had multiple conversations over email. He takes at least 3 days to respond to each one. Unorganized. He is just clueless. DON'T take him unless you want to literally teach the professor. I'm taking him for an online class and he doesn't seem to have the slightest bit of knowledge of technology.

AVOID,if you have a choice do not take him. his voice is so boring and his lectures are long. exams were extremely hard. cheat on his exams using the reviews that he gives, and you should b good. I hated this class so I never went. I cheated and got an B+ on the first exam, then he dropped the 2nd & replaced w/ the first, so I have an A. cheat.

David Selover is a very nice and caring person but he tends to get off topic or he repeats himself in lectures. He often works behind his course schedule which makes the course more difficult to follow. He requires you read the textbook in almost every class. I have taken him for 3 ECON classes, you have to be willing to put in the work to pass.

Assigns mandatory text book that costs over 100$, turns out he assigns wrong text book: makes you read all 500 pages anyway. Jumps around, problematic for hard units. His notes will say "overshoot model", everything under it will be about trade barriers from a month ago. Ambiguous assignments, zero feedback or clarity. Confusing is a good word.

he's great as a person but don't take him. I had friends taking the same exact class and they did not have to do a quarter of the stuff we had to do and he doesn't offer PASS tutoring like all the other professors. The class is really hard as it is, really nice guy but choose a different professor

Our class had this professor when our teacher died. He told us he would honor the syllabus to the letter, but did not. He is a smart man but he was too tough. Under better conditions, he may have been better.

I love david selover. He is a great person, but I wouldn't take him again. I took him for macro econ. the class average was a D the entire year. He gave extra credit, but that never helped. To say this in as many simple words as possible. We all failed his exams because his directions were not clear enough. Also, he curved the class grade

Maybe he's different in the higher econ classes but when I had him for 201S it was unbelievably hard. He barely explained anything and joked about how the class average was failing. Never taking him again!

He is a really nice professor and willing to explain anything. However in order to pass the class, you HAVE to read the book. The exams are straight from the book.

It was a summer course so it was spend up, but Dr. Selover was clear in his explainations and extremely knowledgeable. Often told quarky side note stories which were oddly relevant. For International econ being one of the hardest econ classes he definitely made it better.

Int'l Econ- professor is fair and flexible. Engaging in class, responsive to learning environment. He treats students with respect. All lectures, class notes, assignments, etc. are clearly linked to exams. Instructions/expectations are clear. He's easygoing but professional. Not out to break anyone.

Nice, knowledgeable guy. old style talk and chalk. Little interaction. Main concern is that little real world or current event material is included. that aside, very informative.

Two text books required, you will need both. HW assignments are rough but prepare you for the tests and make it so you don't have to take quizzes. Tests are long and difficult. Set aside 3 days to a week to prepare. Use the SG and Sample Tests. Hard to tell where you stand until you get your grade. wouldn't miss class.

Good teacher. If you go to class and take good notes you shouldnt have that much trouble on the tests. The tests are a mixture of multiple choice, definition, and problems. A LOT OF MATERIAL!The only thing that i really didnt like what the fact that he doesnt put up grades! He weights them at the end so you have no idea where you stand!

I took Dr. Selover for Intl. Econ and he took the time to fully explain everything until it was crystal clear. Very easy. He is slack about homework due dates and more than willing to work with you if you just talk to him. Outstanding professor in my opinion. No papers to write. Simple homework pages to do and 3 exams.

Not a bad guy. Wastes a lot of time on useless material. There's usually a homework due every week. You don't need the textbooks, just go to class and take notes. I'm not sure if he or his TA graded papers. If his TA (which I suspect) he may be harder than I believe. Is probably your best bet for 301. I've heard horrors about the other 301 profs!
