Was a good professor overall. Taught the material well so as long as you pay attention, take notes, and do the homework you will be fine.

Comment:
As far as a class about proofs goes, Dr. Keeler makes it as good as it possibly can be. The lectures are hit-or-miss. Sometimes they're super interesting and sometimes they're really boring. Homework can be extremely difficult at times, but he's an easy grader and it makes the exams seem much easier.

Dr. Keeler is a little awkward but super nice. He knows what he's talking about and doesn't act like he's above you like some professors. He splits class time about 50/50 on proofs and examples. Quizzes and exams are of average difficulty. I would take and have taken a class by him again.

He does the problems on the board but does not explain what or why he is doing them. There is an excessive amount of homework. He does not enter grades into canvas so you dont know your grade unless its midterms and finals. Even then, its only a letter grade not a numerical one.

Dennis is really nice and he works through everything in away that you can understand. If you don't he is happy to go back over things with you in class or during office hours. Quizzes every week only one or two questions, lowest two get dropped. Exams are not that hard and you can easily make your grade up. The online homework can save your grade

Nice guy and is an average professor. Likes to focus on theorems instead of practice problems. Very strict though rules and is hard to budge. My last math professor was willing to consider curving, extra credit, cheat sheet, etc. Dr. Keeler has a formula and will not change it.

Keeler is amazing. He knows how to break things down & help someone understand things who didn't before. He never degraded me & always was encouraging, even asked about my personal life after his class was over. I would take another class with him if I could. Tests are straight forward. No surprises with grades on tests or final You do need to work

Really good teacher. One of the only math profs that encourages participation. Very helpful in office hours, and explains things really well in class. Homework is usually due every week, and accounts for 30 percent of your grade. Some homework is done with a group. Tests are vocab and proofs. Definitely take him if you get the chance.

He teaches the class straight from the book which is annoying. Not easy to understand because he doesn't make sense with what he is explaining. I took calc in high school and my teacher made it understandable. He does not use enough examples so that i understand everything.

Super nice guy, but the worst class ever. I never got below an A in a math class in my life, but this class was impossible. If you like torture take this class.

A fairly good teacher, he pretty much tried to stick to the book and a lot of his examples came from there, but he provided some even better examples of his own during review sessions. He seemed to move a little fast at times but if you do the homework and ask him questions in class you will be fine. Everything was very straightforward with him.

Dennis Keeler is an awesome professor. To be honest I only attended about half the classes since Calc II four days a week just wasn't exciting. If you attend every class there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. Keeler is very straight forward and never tries to trick you on tests and quizzes. Recommended for sure.

He is a really great professor. He is nice and helpful. You can ask questions by e-mail, his office hour or in class, and he will help you figure out. Although there are a lot of class assignments online and some questions are hard, if you finish them, you will get a good grade on the test! It is easy to get A!

Keeler was an excellent teacher! and I definitely recommend taking his class. Easy easy grader and the SI sessions every week help a lot too. As long as you don't skip a lot, it's easy to understand what he wants on tests. Best math teacher I've had.

By far the best math professor I have had yet. His exams are straight to the point and the fairest exams I have taken in college. His lectures can get a little boring, but his homework load is just right and overall he is a great professor

I would never consider writing one of these reviews, however I believe that Dr. Keeler deserves one. He is a laid back teacher that wants his students to learn and succeed. He has extremely helpful notes during class and I feel that his tests and quizzes are fair with no surprises. If you show him you care he will go out of his way to help you.

Comment:
Dr.Keeler is a super nice guy, but his Calculus I class is hard. He teaches primarily graduate students, so his freshman calc is not catered to beginners. He explains little in class and assumes that the students already know everything about calculus. Uses web-assign internet homework which SUCKS! Freshmen, DO NOT take Dr. Keeler !
