She frustrated me to no end. She didn't make her expectations of us as students clear at all, and wondered why we asked her questions about assignments and due dates all the time. I would not take her again.

Oh boy, what to say about Dianne Ferrell...one thing I'll give her credit for is her passion about Special Education. I can't give her credit for much beyond that. She told us not to take notes. Since most people did poorly on the midterm, the final ended up being a game in class. The quizzes were online and could be reviewed to get a 100%.

I had Dr. Ferrell last semester and she was extremely ill. I'm very sorry she was ill but we never heard from her. We had her teach our class for about a month and that was it. The entire class we learned about objectives. She's also my adviser and I found out she was saying stuff about me! She just doesn't seem to care or be professional.

Dr. Ferrell was very frustrating to me. The content journals and other assignments were not clearly explained in the syllabus,very opinionated, especially about the text book, and she did not provide a "safe" classroom environment. Very moody and unpredictable. Occasionally funny/apalling, but your best bet is another prof.

There are 2 tests, 3 projects, a teaching assignment to do with your group and that's about it. You kind of have to teach yourself but if you have questions she does TRY to clarify but sometimes doesn't always work. Is very oppinionated and stay on her good side! mention that you love dogs haha its a plus for her

Dr. Ferrell is a very NICE person if you get to know her at heart. She has her good days and her bad days but who doesn't. I didn't really care for her at first but she came through and helped me when I had to have accomodations made for her course work. There are two projects, two tests, and a teaching "experience" in the class. I'm getting an "A"

ferrell is a nice lady, but she's also kind of lazy. she expects us to teach the whole class to ourselves, barely ever teaches herself and when she does teach, she just kind of rambles. there's not a lot of work to do for this class, only one test, one group presentation and 2 projects. easy A, but you don't learn much.

Easy class, do not get discouraged by the first exam! Unprofessional, anti-republican, and vulgar. Students teach the class as she supervises, each group teaches once. 4 graded assignments. BEST PART - classes only last for 8 weeks.

One of the craziest people I have every meet! She needs to retire or change jobs, she came to class a total of maybe 5-6 times the whole semester but expected us to know all the material as if we were the ones teaching. Has a ton of personal issues the can affect you grade! Never comes on time, never contacts you, and just doesn't care!

Easiest class ever. I actually learned things that didn't sugar coat what it will be like to have these children in the classroom. She loves teaching, and loves helping special ed students get the most possible out of their education. Plus, if you get on her good side, she's a lot of fun.

Dr. Ferrell means well, but she needs to organize the course material more effectively. We spent so much time on in class discussions, that we did not go over the content of the book (a.k.a. what SHOULD have been gone over). I'm so glad the class is over. Nice lady, but needs to teach her material.

Fantastic-expects real effort and professionalism. If you care about learning, take her. If not-grow up IUP, don't complain b/c she wants your hat off indoors or *gasp* gives a pop quiz on material you never bothered to read, even though you knew about the short (20 pg.) reading for 2 wks!!!
