I am currently enrolled in his course Ethics in Criminal Justice and the work is do-able. You really have to set time aside every week to get the necessary work done, he assigns discussion boards every week, a quiz every other week and an essay exam every two weeks. It's ethics.. so its complicated even with the best teacher.. smart guy though!

Would not take him again. This is the second online class with him and both were very difficult to pass. He does not help his students and is very harsh with comments. You are always wrong in his eyes. STAY AWAY!!!!

Absolutely loved this professor!! Great online class!! He is so knowledgeable and teaches you so much! You need to do the readings to be able to do well on exams and papers but the topics are so interesting! If you email him he is willing to help and explain so well! I look forward to taking him again!

mixed review. He obviously knows what he is talking about, and is very well reversed in the material. The way he lays out the material is confusing to say the least. Three long essay exams and discussion posts. Exams are difficult and his feedback can be pretty blunt and harsh. Nice enough guy, but the class is difficult.

Stay far away! The class is incredibly hard and flat out boring. TERRIBLE ONLINE TEACHER! When you ask him to clarify something, he just makes it even more confusing. Very rude when responding to you and everything you say is always wrong according to him. All he has is education and no field experience in the CJ field. DONT TAKE HIM!

Makes things more difficult then what they need to be. Took him Online, every week was a discussion (fairly easy) 2 multichoice tests, 2 essay exams, and your multi choice final.. class wasnt that hard but he over words what he expects so it makes it much more difficult. wouldnt recommend but not that bad if you HAVE to take him.

AWFUL ONLINE TEACHER! he's way too wordy.. way too advanced for this type of course. when you ask a simple question, he respondes with 3 more complex questions without ever responding to your initial question. tough grader on assignments.

Wish i could have taken him in person because he sounds great, but taking him ONLINE is awful! His explanations are confusing and vague, and he gives an impossible workload. His essays and forum explanations are rediculously advanced and complicated and he never grades the forums! He is very rude and nitpicky...avoid him!

Awesome guy wicked laid back and understanding. Do you quizzes read a lil do some notes get a good grade. Class is simple and to the point and really worth taking. I really recommend DR. Dennis he's the man. Hopefully he teaches more classes. Ive had for 3 classes over 3 semesters n would take him again.

Professor Dennis is a great guy. He's extremely knowledgeable and wants his students to succeed. One of the best professors I've had so far. He takes the time to explain everything on his exams and answers everyone's questions. I would definately recommend him to anyone passionate about the Criminal Justice field.

Great professor. Have taken him three times. A master of his craft. Great public speaker and knows what he is talking about. Can be very funny and overall just a really nice guy. Probably stands out as the best professor I had during my college career. Papers can be in depth but helps you learn a lot in the process. MC tests are easy if you study

Dr. Dennis likes to hear the sound of his own voice. He has no experience in the CJ field. All he has is an education and a popus attitude. Dennis is a smart man I will give him that much, however I truly believe he enjoys making people feel stupid. I got nothing from the class. I would rather not graduate than have him again

CRJU 496 Seminar. First of all you either hate or like Dr. Dennis. He has a unique teaching but it brings interest to his topics. I personally like the class and I hate reading and doing tedious task. Right to privacy was a great seminar. 2 paper + 1 more paper as the final. The papers Req 10-12 pages double space 12ppt.<not bad at all for CRJU

Dr. Dennis is a real good guy. I like his style and he encourages class discussions. Tests can be difficult if you do not read and papers are some of the most unique assignments I have gotten. You can tell he puts lots of time into his assignments. Tough class but worth it. I can see why some people hate him, but it's becasue they aren't prepared.
