Every time I looked at this guy, I immediately had to stiffle giggles because he looked like a former adult film star that just let go. He was helpful to people who asked, and is very keen on grade curving because, honestly, statistics is a useless subject

Comment:

Don was an okay professor. He is very interested in the subject and knows his material, but he doesn't spend enough time explaining things. The powerpoints usually go off into tangents and it loses your focus. You have to rely a lot on TA's to help you. With that said, the class is definitely passable.

He is a great math teacher. He actually takes the time to make sure students understand the work. He does a great job at teaching. I would definitely recommend people to take his class.

He's a very smart guy but you can clearly tell that he does not want to be there. He's the kind of person that's so smart that he expects you to immediately understand what he's teaching you. One on one he is very willing to help but can be intimidating which is why people are quick to go to the TA's. ASAP is recommended for this class.

Pretty basic class. Don reads off the power points and expects you to follow along, which does not work well for most people. However if you go and ask him for help he is willing. Use the TAs they are extremely helpful. Do the classwork and this you will pass this class, just maybe not with an A.

For a basic math class like MATH 100, Don Pierce presented things i usually didn't understand. However the class offered allot of help from TA's and fellow classmates. The mid-term and final are straight forward and allow you to use notes. Overall if you show up to class and attempt the work, you should do fine. Easy A.

Don is a nice guy but not a very good teacher. He's great 1 on 1 when you ask him questions, though. Getting an A is hard. You don't have to attend if you turn in the daily work and you can figure it out on your own. Utilize the TAs they're great & they're a lot of help. You wont learn much in class because its all powerpoint & spreadsheets.

No offense to Dr. Pierce, but he should be doing research instead of teaching. It is obvious he doesn't care about teaching.He comes in unprepared and lacks any enthusiasm toward the subject(he's only there because he has to).He also holds his expectations at a level that is above the class he is supposedly teaching.
