Comment:
She is not awful but, the lectures are BORING. She is the only prof. teaching 412 so just do the work, show up and study for the exams. She is not a hard grader if you try a little bit. Don't plan to leave early she keeps you until the last minute AND takes attendance at the end of class. You have to do an intervention, but it was fun.

I love professor Liou! She is very strict with grading policies, but straightforward with what she's asking. She is extremely intelligent and cares deeply for what she does. She is an amazing professor and I definitely recommend taking her.

She is by far one of the easiest professors at Montclair. I've had her for two courses and if you do your work and hand it in on time in any of her classes you get an A.

Nice enough but strict and stringent with her assigned work. Attendance policy makes no sense of no unexcused absences? Unheard of and in Graduate school no less?! Projects are lengthy with many components requiring group work, as most MSU NUFD classes include this often. have. My advice, do not procastinate, time flies by.

She's a pretty nice person but she spends the whole semester talking about the term project where most of the points will come from. The book was expensive and other than studying for two tests it wasn't used so I suggest sharing it with someone instead.shes always late for class but her students are upperclassmen who all show up early. It's rude

passionate teacher, tests were a little hard, projects were fun. you need a note if you are absent which is very annoying. gets mad if you are late however she is always at least 3-5 minutes late and expects you stay late after class.. other than the little things that annoyed me i did enjoy the class

Prof. Liou is by far my favorite nutrition professor. She is very passionate about nutrition education and knows her stuff. The midterm was easy, the project was a major part of our grade which is a lot of work but was fun. SHE GRADES SO EASILY! You cant go wrong. And shes very kind.

Professor Liou was great! Her class was interesting and interactive. I took it as a 4 week summer course so it was intense and a lot of material for a short amount of time. I would have loved to take it as a full semester class. I highly recommend her!

She is respectful towards students in class, yet clearly does not see us (even those of us who are older students) as adults as she does not allow a SINGLE absence w/out documentation. I find this insulting & condescending. She's a good prof who knows how to teach & engage the class but don't expect her to be understanding of personal circumstances

This professor isn't bad and the class itself is very helpful. She is very helpful and would meet with you if you need to meet. The project is not bad once you get the hang of it. There is no final just a midterm. The project is the biggest part of the grade.

Her lectures are sooooooo BORING nd repeats herself constantly. Her quizzes werent too hard but STUDY! Her projects were killer hard. Make sure you have a partner on the first project(itll make it easier) and choose ur group wisely for the final project b/c its alot of work!I got A- on both the projects, and a B+ for the class. Its not too hard...

Very nice teacher and responds to emails quickly. Mid-term was tough and project was quite tedious. She didn't really explain what was needed for it. Attendance is mandatory and you get points for participation in class. Very friendly. Lot of class readings.

Easily the nicest professor I've ever had. Never mean, snotty, moody, etc. Always replied emails quickly, and took extra time to go over concepts that weren't grasped the first time. 2 quizzes, 1 [final] quiz, 1 project, 1 group project. Don't procrastinate on that one. :] I hope I can take her again in the future; she was awesome!

Dr Liou is one of the best professors in the nutrition program! She uses a variety of teaching techniques so the class never gets boring. The reviews for the midterm and final were great! This class requires a lot of work but nothing that is too difficult. There is a huge group project so pick your group members wisely!

LOVED HER!!! Projects are a bit confusing but since she is very organized and to the point, it makes it easier. Get group members that you KNOW will work on the projects. If you dont, you are SCREWED. Projects are demanding but if you have the right group members it will be a breeze. She is 1 of the BEST profs we have!!! God bless her! ;)

Dr. Liou is an excellent professor! She is respectful toward her students, encourages class discussion, and is a fair grader. Best damn professor in the dietetics program!!! The intervention project is a real pain but just be sure to keep up with it and you will be ok. There are no exams in this class and u don't really need the textbook.

good teacher, very understanding with personal circumstances. fun class near the end, really promotes class discussion so be ready to talk, nice grader too. exams are multiple choice but not the clearest questions unfortonately, but if you need this for a major or a reqrmnt i'd suggest her, she's good.

Very straight-forward class. She lectures on everything needed for class, and gives guidelines for the 1 project and 1 research paper due. Midterm & final are comprised of questions for topics on a review sheet. Do not purchase the book, as class notes are only needed. Class is highly recomended.
