If its a course that you just need to pass, this would be a very good choice. It's an easy credit class that will save your GPA. Attendance doesn't matter since all of the notes, work, and exam is online however, he does make his lectures interesting. Just don't be dumb and miss the deadlines and you will be perfectly fine.

Comment:

As far as getting an A+ in the class there's essentially no reason to show up. However, if you are even remotely interested in the subject it's well worth going. Dr. Chute has a vast area of knowledge and will help in any way he possibly can. I could not think of any single way he could improve as a teacher and resource for his students.

Chute was amazing. His lectures aren't mandatory but he does teach you a lot about his research and stuff. All discussion posts are online and all tests can be taken up to 10 times to get a 100. Easy A. Great guy, talks a lot but hes funny.

This class was very very easy to get an A in. There is no need to buy the book because the practice exams are the exact same thing as the actual exams and everything is on google. I didn't buy the book and got an A. Lectures aren't mandatory but I would definitely go to all of them because you can learn a lot if you pay attention.

Prof Chute is a really great guy but the whole course is really weird. He lectures on interesting stuff but then the quizzes are made from grad students I think. Class was okay though. Some days I wanted to rip my eyeballs out and others I was crying in laughter

Professor Chute is probably the best intro to psych teacher. He's very easy and all of his actual tests come from the practice tests. You're supposed to read the book but I never did and made out fine. I'd definitely take his class.

His psych 101 class was terribly boring for the most part, but if you do the practice quizzes you'll be good because they're usually word for word the tests. He doesn't seem to do much except ramble in lecture. The TA's make the tests and answer any questions he doesn't do a lot.

Instructor is not very interactive with class. Ta's answer most questions. Group projects were an absolute nightmare since there was no guidance. Material was interesting only if you have an inital interest in psy. Plan on doing alot of work and self teaching.

HE has an indiana jones and french artist complex. he really dislikes hypnosis, but performs it, he would make the best santa claus!!!he is somewhat entertaining, although falling asleep does happen often in class. he also does not like his opinion being opposed.

Intro to Psychology, LOL! If I was a docotr like him I might get 1/4th of what we were supposed to learn. He is published so along aith the text reading you have to sit through all of his lectures or videos. Expecte and intro class to diagnos Psychological disorders! STAY AWAY unless you have nothing else in life to do. Massive amounts of work!
