Comment:

One of the worst educators I've had in all my years of schooling. She never came to class prepared and her "lessons" seemed like she was making them up as she went along. She does grade quite harshly, and though that is not generally an issue she cannot seem to explain where or why she's deducted points. She took months to grade and give feedback.

Do not take this class unless you are very good on composition, she is kind but she does not help to much, be very careful especially if English is not your second language, she is a high level professor thus she assume that you know how to white.

Comment:

Dr. Schweers is such a sweetheart. To fail her pass means you never turned anything in; she is so lenient with deadlines and as long as you turn something in eventually you're fine. Attendance is mandatory and lectures can be boring but she is so nice. She's a tough grader though, don't expect an "A".

I have no idea why some of the comments are harsh. Dr.Schweers is an excellent teacher who grades papers fairly. Just because she failed yours doesn't mean she doesn't teach well.

She is highly educated and takes education seriously. My opinion is that grades harder than most professors. She gave the whole class a chance to rectify our papers and took the highest grade. I will take her again if I could. I learned a lot from her. She is also very helpful.

She is a very horrible, horrible, horrible teacher. She vaguely explains what she expects of your paper. She gives criteria for your paper AFTER grading it. You learn nothing. If you have her, it's in your best interest to drop her class because even if your a good writer, she'll give you an F.

This teacher seems to grade your papers on her opinion...I wrote very good papers and even had graduate students proof read them, but they weren't good enough. She is a nice lady and will try to do what she can to help you...but she still seems to criticize very hard your writing...

Her class was really boring. All we did was read poems and her tests were hard. She will give you parts of a poem and you had to know the name of the poem, who wrote it, there was a blank word that you had to fill out and you would have to write what that meant. Try doing this after you have read over 50 poems and short stories. Nice lady, but hard

As a teacher she is worthless. I learned nothing and never had my papers returned until after the semester was over. However, the class is easy, if you dont mind abiding by the somewhat strict attendance policy its an easy B. Few students recieved A's in the class.

Dr. Schweers is a good teacher, but she's very lenient, and the class wasn't too hard. She's very nice and helpful, and will meet with you after class to discuss papers. She has a habit of giving papers back late to you though.

The worst teacher I ever had in my life. I should have dropped her class like I wanted. Grades horribly, if you have her, drop her class, you learn nothing, and your grade will reflect that.

She is unsure about how she teaches, her classes are stupid, we learn NOTHING. If you want an easy class, take her. No tests, no final, no quizes. Only 5 papers due for her TOTAL. Doesnt' ever count anything as late.
