she is the rudest and most awful teacher I know. I thought her kind was extinct but i was wrong. She curses everyone from the beginning to the end. She gives a quiz every morning. The door is closed at the beginning; a student's finger was almost smashed at one point. Everybody failed her tests, when I mean fail, the highest was 45%. RUN!!!!!

When I took her for Algebra last semester, I thought it was just me. Algebra isn'tmy strong point & I'd been out of school for almost 10 years. Taking her for pre-cal, it's her. She constantly tells us to change careers if we don't speak up in class because we're afraid of being yelled at. She's shattered what little confidence I had. Don't do it.

You really have to put in a lot of time, effort, and be responsible; which is natural. She offers tutorial time but she isn't willing to work with professionals schedule. She also assigns homework but doesn't grade it so if you are struggling the only way is tutorial she's aggressive.

I don't know why she has so many bad reviews. If you are looking for someone who will hold your hand through this course then you shouldn't be in college. Professor Whaley is a good instructor. She always available during office hours and is wiling to do whatever it takes to get you to understand. She's not easy but learninh isn't easy

She lacks people's skills. More like a Sargent or mathematical cop, rather than a professor. She is a very tough grader who will not cut an slack whatsoever. I don't recommend this class if your looking for helpfulness and you have been away from math for a while. You are on your own in her class.

Having experienced many different math-teaching styles, I can say with confidence that Prof. Whaley is awesome. She's extremely helpful (make use of her office hours) and very clear. She can be a bit "cutthroat" and particular in her grading, but if you actually listen, you'll leave the class having actually LEARNED algebra.

She is the best Math teacher that I could hoped for. She is very intransigent indeed and demands your full focus and attention, but if you are willing to do that, it will pay off. I never thought of myself being able and capable to enjoy Math again. I would definitely recommend her to whoever is serious about learning Math.

DO NOT take Prof. Whaley if you want to pass learning support. We begin with about 28 students after two weeks we had 14 and by the end we had 11 and only 2 passed. She will fail you with 69.99%. She speaks the language of MATH so if you don't understand that language BEWARE! I did like her personal style/personality, just NOT her teaching style!

She is sharp tongued and not very patient. She goes through material very quickly and then expects you to regurgitate it just as quickly. If you use improper terminology she will verbally berate you without thought. Definitely not for me, so I chose to drop her class and select a more patient and understanding professor.
