Had her for lab, and she wasn't the worst, but she wasn't great. I would never take her for a full class, she's hard to understand and sometimes you can't figure out exactly what she wants. If you have a strong physics background, you'll be good in lab. Luckily I had a lab partner that was extremely smart.

Entire grade is pretty much only 3 tests. Makeups are allowed but only if you score under 60 so you might as well just fail. You should be fine if you've taken physics before but overall would not recommend.

Doesnt use Blackboard so you have no idea of grading unless you keep track yourself. Gives problems in class then realizes after 5 mins she didnt give you all the info needed. Reads from a scripted lesson plan. Exam answers are written in the blue books, so you don't know what the original problem is unless you write it down. Wont let you see exam.

Prof. Fang Liu has great knowledge about the field of physics. Final grade is based on 2 exams, final, and homework(1 per chap & graded). Write down all examples from lecture, understand the concepts, and do the homework as some of her exam questions are similar. She always has a review session before exams, so do attend. Good with partial credit.

Comment:
Get ready to teach yourself most of the material (MUST READ THE BOOK). Phys 3 is broad and because of that, Fang rushes through most materials. Take good notes and do the homework properly, because most of her exam questions are combination of homework and class problems. She is a very generous grader and gives partial credits on exam problems.

This woman is horrible. I never took physics and know nothing about it, so I struggled. She refuses to answer emails and does not have office hours to help you. She said "I can't help you and everybody else pass, and I am not answering emails when I am not in my office." Wonderful, right? So unfortunate that Stockton keeps her on the payroll.

She is a nice lady, but she is pretty hard to understand. Unless you have a pretty strong math background I would not recommend taking her. She moves over topics very fast. I found I learned more from tutoring than I did in her class. If there is another class to take I would highly recommend it.

Comment:
Course is algebra based rather than calc based physics. As long as you know basic algebra and SOHCAHTOA (trig), you will do fine with the math. Class drags on because she likes to beat a dead horse on the math, but that is only bc people still struggle with the calculations. She means well. Good w partial credit. I am taking her again for PLS II.

Avoid her like the plague. Hard to understand through her very thick accent. Moves very quickly through her lectures, you can get lost quickly... Her tests have some of the homework and study guide questions on there but not all of them. So you will get some questions that you have never seen before on these tests, which totally screwed me.

She is such a sweetheart but moves way too fast. She is extremely hard to understand especially when trying to learn physics. She allows one make up test but the only grades in the class are homework and your 3 tests. She grades nicely but you still won't get the grade you want. I recommend taking someone else

Very smart professor. If you're not good at math wouldn't recommend taking moves fast through solving problems, but will take time to explain if there are questions. Tries to work at the pace of the class if you need an extra day, you'll get it. Grades fairly easy if you do the correct steps you will get credit, allowed to bring notecard to exam.

I wasn't a fan of Fang's style at first.Overtime, most of the math we saw was the same thing over and over again, I didn't care for the pace of the class. Most of the students weren't prepared mathematically, which really slowed the pace. Overall, I enjoyed having her as a professor. She responds well when you're actually interested in the material

She knows her stuff, but her accent and the speed with which she moves through equations make it very difficult to follow her. I am probably going to avoid her courses as much as possible in the future, but it's not because she's not nice and doesn't want all her students to learn. She's frustrating at times, but you can work with her.

Super intellegent professor. Derives quickly and tries to make sure everyone understands. Sometimes she is hard to understand what concepts she is teaching. Overall I would highly recommend taking physics classes with her.

Easy to get a good grade, not easy to learn material. She is a sweetheart but she is to smart and doesnt understand why you wont understand a equation that is the whole board. Impossible to fail.

stay away from medical tech! the course description is a complete lie,its nothing but complicated math and physics. nice lady but she goes so fast, her English is hard to understand, she pulls equations out of nowhere and when you ask for help if you don't understand she gets frustrated. If your not a mathematician physicists you will be very lost

Extremely intelligent. The class was hard. Lots of calculations. Lets you bring an index card for the exams. Grades very fair. MUST do homework. Participate in class so she knows you want to learn. Lets you do extra credit. Very helpful. Never saw her mad once.

i hate this class. first time ive ever had a class where i am completely lost. she goes fast, derives equations all over the place, and when you ask questions half the time she doesn't understand your question and its frustrating. course descripton is deceiving, it's all math, she does not make the concepts clear and her office hours are a joke.

The worst professor ever. Yes, she is a nice person but a HORRIBLE TEACHER. Her notes are extremely scattered and she is very hard to understand (she speaks broken english). Only plus is that she curves at the end of the semester. I thought I was failing but ended up w/ a C. Yitzshak Sharon is the way to go for physics!
