Comment:

I really enjoyed having Professoressa Laviosa as an instructor. Although she was often strict and seemed very intimidating during the first half of the semester, she really is very understanding and helpful when it comes to confusing topics, and genuinely wants her students to understand what is going on in class.

Her classes and teaching style were acceptable, but she was not at all helpful in office hours. She also seemed to give grades arbitrarily and said she gave them on the basis of fluency, which does not seem reasonable for classes at the 100-level.

Like the student said before she is really enthusiastic and loves her student but picks on a few. Well I was on of those students. I was sick all semester and couldn't attend class so she labeled me and used me as an example in class while not ever actually helping me do better. She never tried to help me like she does with the other students.

Prof. Laviosa is a wonderful professor. She is extremely helpful and dedicated to her students. Punctuality is a must in her classes but she makes the classes fun and exciting so it's well worth getting up early (well, early for college).

Comment:

Prof. Laviosa is very nice but likes to call on you a lot, which can be scary. She's a cute older woman who really loves her class and that makes the class all the more fun. Her activities really help you to learn but sometimes she doesn't understand your questions because she is a native speaker. However, she is truly caring and I def like her!

She is a good teacher and makes the classes interesting, but she was often intimidating and mean to a few students. But I think she learned from our student evaulations and was nicer the next semester.
